Dwight for Noah, Deng, Gibson
Noah to Sac for #5
Deng to Raps for #7
Gibson to us.
Then maybe look to package 5 & 7 for Bobcats #2 if Hennigan has a solid idea of who will be the next big thing comin out of this draft?
We could be adding any combo of MKG, Barnes, Drummond, Beal etc to BBD, Anderson, Gibson, JJ, JRich.
Bulls get to remain competitive whilst Rose is out, and can hopefully convince Dwight to stay there and build a legacy once Rose is healthy.
Doesn't Dwight have to agree to playing there long term? I don't see a Roseless Bulls team renting Dwight for a year.
Depends if the Bulls have a solid idea of where Rose will be upon return from his injury. My guess is that if they're looking for draft picks for Noah and Deng that they mustn't have muh faith in his return at top form, hence they want to retool with some young guys whilst they have the chance.
The thing with Dwight, however, would be that if he opts out then he's essentially wiped off $24M worth of contracts that otherwise would have tied them down. They'd still be able to retain Asik and Gibson for cheap and have room to add another star via free agency.
If he opts in then they take that opportunity and run with it. Dwight/Boozer/Rose is a solid core. They could fill the roster out by moving Boozer or Gibson for more firepower on the wings.
A smart team would recognize the opportunity that lies within having the most dominant big man in the game on your team.
