Synergy doesn't support the "he's a good defender" argument. IIRC, he's ranked over 300 overall, which is kind of bad.
If he comes back as the backup SF, I'm fine with it. He doesn't hurt you much when he's out there, he just doesn't give you much either. I can live with that in a backup, but not a starter (even if he only played 20mpg).

I would gladly trade him for Joe Alexander right now.

Re: Wes Johnson, the forgotten man
Wes is not that reliable of a defender - its just that we've been so bad and he does give the impression he will atkeast try.
Out of Wes, Beas, Webster, and AR ... I figure 2 are gone for sure depending how off-season trades unfold. Prefer to keep Wes/Webster over Beas/AR. Not a snowballs hance I pay beas what he likely expects.

Flip response to Love wanting out, "He has no reason to be upset, you're either a part of the problem or a part of the solution"

Re: Wes Johnson, the forgotten man
Bulls fan here, but I've been watching Wes since he transferred to Syracuse. It really was frustrating Wes play this year. I remember he had one SCTop 10 play i think it was a weakside block or probably an oop from Rubio. I was happy for him but he never really did much all season.
Honestly though I think his problem was just the makeup of the team. I mean only 3 really servicable guards. A plethora of forwards and only 2 really competent big men (of Course Love is more than competent) Wes Johnson just wasn't in a position to do well. Let's ignore that fact that he played 20+ minutes a game. He started at SG for who knows why. He never showed good handles so why would he be put in a position with that responsibility?
But with the small backcourt it's kind of tough to play Ridnour and Rubio and Barea all together and NOT get punished defensivley, Adelman kinda has to play him as a stop gap. It would be best to get him minutes at the 3 but with Beasley, Williams, and Webster all there which one of the 4 is most likely capable of playing the 2, Johnson. IIRC Malcolm Lee spent much of his time in the NBADL and Ellington just faded in and out of the rotation for some reason.
Everyone can agree he has some potential, he has athleticism, he's long, he can shoot, and can defend adequately, it's just a matter of him being in the right situation. I could see him being on a veteran team having desirable effects on him. i.e Danny Green. I think he could be had for a 2nd rounder.

^ Wes started at SF, and we didn't get punished defensively until Rubio went down the injury. Before that we are actually in the top half of the league in DRTG.

I like it if we can include Darko and Kosta in the deal.

I would describe your posting style as "salty d-bag". You're a bit annoying.

Re: Wes Johnson, the forgotten man
Don't know how I got here but i would just like to refute two things
1.) that poster that said why can't he be like Paul George: the same reason why IGGY can't be Lebron James.
2.) if you think Denver would do either one of those deals your mad, Wes is a 10th man on a playoff team and last i checked that's what Denver is.
P.S To the guy who posted the Joe Alexander comment LoL
