I don't think so..
He's a 6'4 TWEENER..

You can do MUCH better than Waiters at #7..
There is a Reason why he isn't Breaking #10 on ANY Mock Drafts..

My bad
BUt point still stands, he has ridiculously long arms and it will help him tremendously on D..

yeah, if the bulls are committed to trimming salary, i think this should be the option.

i feel like the team is being too clever by half right now. i imagine the thought process is something like "boozer is a sunk cost, but deng, deng has value. he's an all star; he's just not the right all star for this team. we wouldn't get anything useful for boozer; for deng, we could get younger, and cheaper, and we could get someone with the potential to be the #2 guy we really need"

same with dangling jo. it's ignoring the fact that deng and noah are good fits on this team and focusing on the fact that they have a value that boozer doesn't. they're trying to solve the boozer problem by not addressing the boozer problem, seeking out higher potential (in a best case scenario) / lower floor / less expensive players at the cost of guys who have more or less shown to work. and if they strike gold, everyone will forget about how overpaid boozer is.

i just don't think it's that likely that they strike gold

Additionally, if you do get that missing scorer, suddenly you don't need Boozer's (meticulous to create) offense nearly so much.

But you would still need Deng's defense and would no longer have it. Though you could swap Taj in the closing lineups and suffer Boozer and his salary watching more games finish from the bench.

But the alternative to moving Deng or Noah may be standing pat, and by standing pat, I mean cutting depth, and just being weaker than last year practically all around.

I'm pretty sure we could send Boozer off to the Nets this season, especially if they make the Dwight deal. Perfect 3rd option for a team like that.

I saw that too. Honestly, of all the boards whose teams have been associated with a possible Deng trade, they seem to have the best handle on his value.

I keep wondering if there's some way of trading Boozer to Charlotte for Maggette. Boozer + Asik for Maggette + Diop, and then some combination of draft picks. I wouldn't give back the Charlotte pick unless we were getting their #2, which they have no reason to surrender, but possibly whichever player we draft at #29 (could be pre-selected by Charlotte).

If Maggette can play to start the season (after his surgery), start him until Deng's back. Then do a combo of Deng & Maggette at 3/4 along with Taj, and at the trade deadline try to unload Maggette as a potentially valuable expiring contract.

Defense is overrated.

Thibbs defensive system even makes Boozer look decent sometimes.

Bulls need explosive scorers.

I know I've taken my shots at Carlos Boozer in my brief time here, but he ain't the reason the Bulls are looking to trade Loul Deng. Deng is being shopped because his trade value is higher than anyone on the team other than Rose and Noah; we badly need a young shooting guard and the Bulls have no intention of resigning him. It also didn't HELP that Deng couldn't carry the team when Rose and Noah went down in the playoffs, and he turned a def ear to management's request to bypass the 2012 summer Olympics.

while we are at it, lets give them asik also. ive always wanted to see asik-howard front court. thats one nasty interior defense.

No there is a lot of salary dumping going on. Boozer was suppose to be the 2nd option and he has not been.

Neither Deng or Boozer are 2nd options and that's why the Bulls are looking around.

yea i think its silly to even think that the bulls are 'sacrificing' either noah or deng, b/c boozer hasnt lived up to his 20/10 expectation.

imo, loul played with different intensity starting in game 5. he was outright more aggressive in game 5 and it led to the W. it wouldve been better if he started it in game 3 when boozer was decent.

The Bulls defense was 8.6 points worse per 100 possessions with Boozer on the floor. That's massive.

The last line is right though.
