The Jays view on players is pretty obvious if you read between the lines.

Snider: Jays feel he should spend the entire year in the minors. Will only use him if others falter. Are looking for something outside of his triple A dominance. Want him to be healthy. Has had his status complicated by injury and Rajai Davis--who Farrel is in love with due to his speed. Is clearly trade bait whose value sky rockets when he is in triple A (by value I mean what another GM might give up for him).
With Gose and Rasmus working out he has little to no place on the team at this point (Unless you want to try him at first, and then D'Arnaud appears to have him blocked there.) Basically, he has waited so long to finally be A) healthy enough and B) productive in terms of power/walks that other prospects and ML position players have surpassed him.

Lind: Hated by farrel due to his laziness and lack of production but being paid big bucks (relative to this team's budget) and there is no (sorry McDade/Cooper fans) other relevant first baseman in the system. His value lies only in the off chance he can regain it before being demoted into obscurity by the end of the year. There is a small chance he could rebound, and rebound players are AA's wet dream. To be fair, he has raked at triple A and shown tremendous power (Vegas/sample size be damned)

Fransico: Being paid to give EE a day off once in a while and is on the payroll. Gotta' make sure that money gets used efficiently.

In essence, the Jays want to use their major league payroll guys as much as they can. It's why Cordero and Lind have not been released already. Let's just hope Adam gets back to what he was.

It's really up to Farrel to make sure his shitiness (this probably is not a word) is covered by keeping him lower in the order (not cleanup) so there is no real drop in value from Cooper (who was a part-timer with EE anyway).

You had me until this point. Lind had over 100 ABs batting cleanup. Everyone else in the order moved up and down (save Bautista, of course), so I don't see consequential animus from Farrell to Lind.

McDade will make a believer out of you next year when he hits Vegas.

True enough...but I meant as of this moment. Farrel has gone on record about lind's lack of preparation and bat speed recently. In addition, he has sounded luke-warm about his return in recent interviews. I think after someone gives you a ton of rope and you hang yourself and the person who gave you the rope in the first place it might change your initial perception of a player/person.

Perhaps. We will see. I still would prefer D'arnaud at catcher and JPA gone. In this case, first would be open.
