I actually feel Q is on a pretty good contract.

JRich's is disgusting, though. Him, Hedo, and Duhon are the only 3 that I desperately want off the team.

s/n: Does anyone know what kind of car Hedo drives? I was driving through Orlando at 1 am (on the TP) about two weeks ago, and there was a silver car with red rims and red trimmings (forgot what type of car, but it was definitely expensive) and the license plate read: "HEDO2". I'm almost certain he was drunk as his speed kept dipping and spiking, and he was swerving lanes.

I swear to you I didn't make that up, either. I tried to look when he was on the side of me but the windows were tinted too dark.

I know he has a Dodge Challenger that I saw him get into at one of the games but not sure if that is what you saw (this was back at the Amway Arena not Amway Center)

3 way trade with Houston and sacremento give me Scola Dragic Cousins and Sacs 1st Rd and have Houston package their picks for a lower pick and get the 7th or 8th... I would be happy. Never going to happen but I've seen worse

Sixers fan here. This deal has little to no chance of happening but would you guys accept it?

DH12 for Holiday, Turner, Young, Vucevic, and the #15 pick.

IMO Philly would have to somehow get a higher pick than 15. It's rumored that Houston would rent Dwight for a year now WT is reporting that Houston is trying to gain lottery picks.. I don't think its a coincidence. The players you listed are good young players I just think Orlando could do better...Plus I don't see why philly would squander good young talent on a Dwight for a year.

If the Sixers amnesty Brand they have cap space to sign Deron Williams, that's why they'd do it. I do not think that this will happen, but it is possible capwise.

Out of curiosity what do you think would be a fair deal for Dwight?

On ESPN report that Rockets working to move up for Dwight pieces, everything they do is to get next star. Everything.

Jonathan Feigen ‏@Jonathan_Feigen
Rockets were in trade talks w Magic on trade deadline day until 11 a.m. when Dwight signed opt in. Would've done deal w/out Dwight promise.

I disagree completely... =)

if we're getting rid of dwight I want youth and prospects... why take back less when hedo comes off the books next season basically anyway? You gotta pay someone and ya duhon sucks but at least he's not a bad guy to have in the locker room.

Q-rich is on a great contract for what he does, and is also a great vet presence. I don't understand what everyone's beef is with his contract -- 2.5 mil for a contributing role player is not outlandish.

Unless we trade for Bynum, our team is going to need a year (or two, three, etc) to get back to playoff form so get some young guys and wait for hedo and duhon to come off the books, we'll still have plenty of caproom come 2013.

Not sure that I buy that whole HOU trying to get both the 5 and 8 draft picks. I don't see how they pull off both. In addition to that, the lone source for the original story was "one Western Conference executive" that was speculating. I'm going to pump the breaks on that one.

He mentions that like we still have Otis as GM... We just cleaned house... all talks have been reset to zero.

6 years? for a GM contract? that's absurd.

Especially for a GM whose claim to fame is failing to build a team around a superstar.

League sources commented yesterday that the early word regarding the Magic’s draft plans include trying to trade the #19 overall pick for a future draft asset. The Magic appear to be trying to get as much salary off the books as possible.

As things stand today the Magic have some options they can explore this summer with Magic guard Jameer Nelson and forward Earl Clark both poised to opt out of their contracts before July 1st. Forward Ryan Anderson can become a restricted free agent and JJ Redick has a non-guaranteed year on his deal.

If the Magic pass on all of them, they could get their cap commitments down to $50.43million giving them $7 or so million in salary cap room to pursue free agents. The #19 pick represents a salary of $1,181,800 this year and $1,235,000 next year, and it seems that cap space is more valuable than the player the team could acquire.

Nothing is done on this front; however it seems that’s the direction the franchise is headed with the 2012 NBA Draft set for Thursday June 28th.

Kyler says look for us to shed a lot of salary and attempt to move the pick for future draft assets.

I do not trust what Kyler says but it will definitely be interesting to see what Rob does. I think we may go into tank mode for 1 year and come back strong the next year

Wtf are we going to do with 7 million in cap space this year? How is that at all helpful? Is 1.18 million in an offseason where we should not be spending REALLY worth more to us than a chance at a Perry Jones/Jared Sullinger type on a small rookie contract?

Exactly what I was thinking. Unless Henny really doesn't like any of the draft prospects in that region. I'd still try to turn the 19th into a veteran or someone to help us next year. We'll see. Rumors are rumors.
