I'm sure the Bulls wouldn't mind having Kemba to play early in the season and then back up Rose, but they'd be overpaying because Kemba is worth more than what they'd use him for. Like, they'd be better served trying to get that value in other ways.

With Dunlap on board I prefer rather quantity over quality and see what Dunlap can make of those rookies. (i.e. would not trade 24 + 31 or 31+33 to trade up for the saking of trading up)

presumably the bobcats would target a specific player if they were to trade up into the teens with the extra pick they got from cleveland. that's the only way i could justify it, as the difference between #15 and #24 is smaller this year than the usual year, by all indications.

Chad Ford's mock has us taking T-Rob. But says Cavs want to trade #4 and #33 and #34, rather than #4 and #24. Kinda clashes with Kyler's report saying we have a standing offer of #4 and #24.

It still might be worth it if we had a plan to flip 33 and 34 to someone else but I dunno. The 4 and 24 seems pretty fair for both sides, and we could trade the 31 for the 33 or 34 if they wanted badly enough.

Maggette and our second round pick, if Derrick Brown comes back we would have an overload at small forward, OR Taj Gibson and Deng for our #2, Maggette, AND Thomas. The only way I would give up #2 is if they took Thomas and Maggette and added Gibson to the trade.

My pipe dream...

2 for 4 & 24 then,
4 for 14 & 16 (If the Rockets would trade that for 5, they would trade it for 4?)
and 24 and 31 for 17.

14: Ross or Lamb
16: Moultrie
17: Harkless or stay put at 24 and take Quincy

Biyombo-Moultrie-Harkless/Quincy-Ross/Lamb/Hendo-Kemba. I could get excited about that. Plus still in the running for a top pick next year.

I'd also be happy with Royce at either 16/17. Still not sure if he's a 3 or 4 in the NBA.

There is information, and there is disinformation. NBA front offices leak both throughout the draft process. If you're Cleveland, why wouldn't you try to get that deal done by only sacrificing a second round pick? It could be that is the standing offer FROM Cleveland; maybe the 2 for the 4 & 24 is OUR standing offer!

Probably why the chatter was fed about the possibility of the Cats trading with the Wizards. Gotta create competition to increase the price.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

What I found interesting was that Kyler thinks Washington's big board is 1) Beal 2) MKG. If we can trade back to 4 and still get T rob, then that would be AWESOME. Even if we do just get 3 2nd rounders, it would still be awesome. I do, however, think that ultimately Cho will snatch pick 24 and still get Trob at 4. I also think that there will be an opportunity to move pick 31 to move up into the later 20's. A team like Miami at 27 would come to mind. For them they move back 4 spots and don't have to pay the 1st round money. For us, if we have a target that we don't think will last, we can afford to pay the money.

If this trade has been on the table, then who have we brought in through workouts that could signal we are looking at a guy in the 24 range? I saw we brought in Jeff Taylor and he has been moving up boards into the 1st, perhaps he is a target at 24 rather than 31? Hard to tell.

Personally, this would be a pretty fantastic draft. 2 for 4+24. Cavs draft Beal 2nd, Wiz draft MKG 3rd. We draft TRob 4th. At 24 we look at Quincy Miller or Jeff Taylor. At 31 we look Tony Wroten. That would be a pretty solid haul I would say.

ESPN Insider update says the Cats are considering a #2 for #4 and #24 deal, and would take Barnes at #4. I would blow my gasket and be so pissed with Cho if they had both T-Rob and Barnes on the Board at #4 and selected Barnes. There is just no reasonable way to have both on the Board and to think the smarter decision is to take Barnes. Cannot see it. Making that trade and still getting T-Rob at #4 would be a dream scenario for Charlotte.

T-Rob and Drummond would both be much better picks than Barnes.

Yeah, I'd be a little bummed if we wheeled and dealed and targeted Barnes for it. I kind of feel like the fact that only tweets about Barnes' workout being impressive leaking out is a signal that it's smoke more than anything.

It'd be like winning a "sports car" and when you go to the dealer to get your prize, it's just a mustang.

I think that the Barnes rumor is only credible if TRob was taken by Washington at 3. If it came down to Barnes or MKG, who do you take? Then I could buy Cho taking Barnes. If TRob is there at 4, or wherever we pick, he is the pick though...I think...at least everyone else seems to think so.

If it was between Barnes and MKG, it would be a hard choice for me. Like Barnes ability to hit the jumper, but MKG has the ability to take it to the rim and make things happen. The intangibles lead me to take MKG over Barnes, but I can see the argument for taking Barnes over MKG.

Barnes for me.

Then Sullinger at #24 and Wroten at #31.
