Report - Rockets offer Lowry+14+16 for Tyreke+5

Sources say Houston has an offer of Lowry, the #14 and #16 picks for Tyreke Evans and the #5 pick on the table. Up to Sacramento to decide.

And I say - if we accept this horrible trade i'm done with this team.

Lowry is worth more then reke, so it's not that bad. Could probably get something more out of it.

I just posted thisto start a new thread . Mods can just lock mine no worries .

Yes this is a bad trade IMO .

I see Hous just aquired the 18th pick today from the Wolves for Budinger . I would demand that pick as well in this trade If I were to do this deal . Otherwise I would pass unless Hous wants to send us P.Patterson as well.

Source involved in Houston-Kings talks says the Rockets have not offered the No. 14, No. 16 pick and Kyle Lowry for Tyreke Evans and No. 5.

Sam Amick ‏@sam_amick
Make that two involved sources refuting that offer of Houston's No. 14 and No. 16 and Kyle Lowry for Sacramento's No. 5 and Tyreke Evans.

That trade would be bad for us on all levels . I dont think Petrie is that stupid to accept that deal .

Someone tell Houston's front office to stop leaking all these garbage trade rumors.

I just wanted to add ths tidbit of info Sam Amick just posted in reguards to Reke

Regardless of conflicting info, a quick peek at Tyreke Evans' situation: So I'm told the former Rookie of the Year who won that award as a point guard has informed the team that he doesn't want to play small forward spot anymore. Add this to the fact that he's not getting an extension this summer and no one in his camp thinks the Kings will pay big next summer when he's a restricted free agent, and you start to understand why he's available for the right price. This Evans situation, in other words, isn't going away anytime soon.

Good for Tyreke. He's a lead guard and with the right players and coaches that know how to use him he could be outstanding. Really disappointed in the Kings as an organization.

Sorry . Your way off base here Tyreke is not now & never was a PG . He has not ever really even shown real signs of improving his skills that are required of a true PG .
I say good for the Kings lookig after # 1 THEIR FRANCHISE rather than the player .

Demanding to end the SF business is fine by me but I hope that he doesn't expect to dictate the flow of the offense again. Hopefully he sees most of his minutes at the 2.

Terrible trade proposal.

wow from an outsider I think you guys who don't like the trade offer is foolish. I would take Lowery over Evan right now straight up. He is a much better fit and by trading down you guys can get a person like Jermey Lamb and Royce White who would be a much better fit to play next to Cousin. I'll take Lowry, Lamb and Royce White over Evans and the #5 pick.

Its a good thing your not our GM then .
The trade is not a good one Tyrekes value is not what it was whenhe was a rookie . That said is value is more than just Lowry . Tyreke is a player who can play multiple positions he is not one dimensional were as Lowry is . Lowry only plays the Pg thats it .
Lowry is a good player but Tyreks still has alot more upside than Lowry .

Do you want a guy with upside and he never reach the level of play you expect him to? Or do you want a guy that is proven he a baller? Maybe the fact taht Tyreke is being ask to play multiple positions is hurting his growth. What is he, a PG? SG? SF? It all good he can play all those positions if ask but why not got out and get guys who are actually just a PG, just a SG, just a SF? I'm not a jack of all trades type of guy when it comes to NBA players. Jordan was a SG, Kobe is a SG, Chris Paul is a PG. Get a position and be great at that one positions. Tyreke to me is a SG and I haven't seen much improvement in his game. Your better off building around Cousin and I think you get off to a great start by getting a guy like Lowry

You can keep you jack of all trades guard in Tyreke Evans but you will continue to be masters of losing with him. I just don't think he has improved him game and I was a fan of his game when he was a rookie. But man I think if your getting an nice offer from Houston like the one that has been reported, you take it.

It's not a comparison of Evans vs. Lowry. It's a comparison of Evans/#5 vs. Lowry/#14/#16. Evans vs. Lowry is debatable value. Lowry is certainly the better player right now, but that doesn't mean he's more valuable. Tyreke still has a ton of room to improve, and has a ceiling Lowry can't reach.

I'm just saying their value is pretty close. Too close to justify then also swapping #5 for #14/#16.

There are mixed signals as to whether the Kings are considering moving back. A source said president of basketball operations Geoff Petrie has been doing his homework in recent days on Mississippi State power forward Arnett Moultrie, who is widely expected to be taken in the middle-to-late first round and who worked out in Sacramento on Sunday. Meanwhile, Petrie is also known to have been inquiring about a player who would qualify as a surprise pick at No. 5, Syracuse shooting guard Dion Waiters.

As a Warriors fan, anything you guys can do to get Barnes or MKG dropped to us is appreciated :D
