Nah...No way Houston's trades for Dwight, he said (reports) he isn't resigning there.

Houston will try to trade for Howard, according to several reporters. They will throw some money at Deron Williams and see if he signs there, too.

Maybe Marshall won't be so bad. Court vision is a definite plus. There's just a bunch of other players I'd rather draft, i.e. those three wings we talk about all the time. It's time to try to sell myself on Marshall.

He's 6'4" - ok, so he's got some good size
Good court vision - not many guys like that these days

It'd be a miracle if he turns out to be the next Nash/Stockton kind of player. Is drafting him worth that gamble? Odds are just so ridiculously low. Nevertheless I can see us trotting out Marshall at the point, sign an athletic guy or two and run up and down.

I wont be fun for our team, because we are as normal going to sit on our hands. But it is going to be fun to watch all of the fireworks from other teams with all of the draft day trades and immediate free-agent signings come Sunday. Very exciting for everyone else and very interesting!!!

Slow down fellas. It is not even draft day. Most trades don't happen until the draft starts to play out...why trade up if your guy is going to fall into yur lap? It will get busy after the Blazers pick.....trust..

As long we don't draft Marshall, sign Nash or Dragic and draft either Lamb, Waiters or Ross or......even Rivers  (one will definitely fall)

Getting an extra pick an picking up Q Miller or PJ3 would be icing. If we don't trade Gortat by draft day (all signs point to that), we will re-sign Nash even if we have to MAX him, believe that.

Or Dragic... I am so cool with drafting Ross, resigning Nash, picking up G Wallace and rolling with

Nash/Brooks/Telfair
Ross/Duds/Brooks
Wallace/Hill
Frye/Kief
Gortat/Lopez

I really am. Good pay roll, youth and vets. Replace Nash with Dragic and i am still cool. I just don't see the overall youth movement coming here, plus Gortat is just to solid to let go....

I would start

Nash
Ross
Wallace
Gortat
Lopez

try it in camp :dontknow:

Zeller?

His younger Brother is better than him, and pulled out of the draft so he wouldnt knock Tyler out of the Lotto.

That crap NBA draft preview with Sam Mitchell had us taking Zeller .... I
d be fine with him if we had picks like the Rox do.

But I'd still like Moultrie if we had picks to gamble with

Yeah, lets compare a guy that's never played a single NBA second to two Hall of Famers. Of course it would be a miracle if he turned out to be the next Nash or Stockton! If the goal is to draft a starting caliber player at #13, we can do a whole lot worse than Kendall Marshall.

I'd love to have Crash on this team. He's going to cash in with New Jersey. I really wish we could put to bed the whole 'Gortat as Power Forward' thing. Neither he or Lopez has a PFs game.

I still believe Frye plays his best as backup Center. I would try and S&T Lopez for an asset and roll with Morris as our starting PF. Re-sign Amundson and reunite the 2010 bench mob with Bassy taking Barbosa's place. Starting line-up Nash-Ross-Crash-Morris-Gortat with bench mob of Bassy-Redd-Dudley-Amundson-Frye. Obviously this is only if we're reloading with Nash.

It only ever helps him if a shorter defender is guarding him (to pass it over the top). The 2 inches of elevation that he gets make his shot relatively easy to defend. Plus it isn't really taken advantage of in his defense.

You don't think Gortat can play the four? He plays the C like the 4 already; and that allows you to bring Frye off the bench to play C. I think the problem is Frye and Kief are redundant on the floor together, but that is why I say try it in camp; it might allow Kief to develope his post game. I also felt Lopez played best when he was pair with Amare.

Right.... We have the power to draft Ross/Lamb/Waiter/Rivers and to resign Nash and to go and get him talent (i.e) Crash... We don't have to get all elaborate and creative with other teams. The more you control, the better off you are.

No. I don't. I think he has the game of an athletic Center. Just because he runs the pick and roll doesn't mean he's a PF, in my opinion anyway. He has almost no range. His little jump shot at 10-feet is totally flat. Though, defensively I think you can make the argument that he can guard PFs and Cs.
