RA for #5?

can't trade him till July, and not without his permission as a S&T.

So there are 3 RFA's with better PERs?

You're confusing Sheridan with Hollinger. Sheridan doesn't work for ESPN anymore so he has no reason to pimp PER.

This was one of the greatest tweets I have seen by Jarrod ever

“@JRudolphSports: In case you missed it, I said that trading @DwightHoward for Brook Lopez is like trading Superman for Captain Planet. Horrible move.”

On a related topic, I haven't figured out how this board the TBN just can't seem to exist without bitching about the other.

I read both and can't figure out where the hatred started. Did I miss something from decades ago that has festered (damn I love that word) into the feud that currently exists?

this site has more outlandish trade ideas, the other has shard-heads. Very big ideological differences between them that will likely never be reconciled.

Ahh, thanks for the specific explanation gp!

He never had leverage after waiving it. He has become a self centered egotistical character. Its getting worse than LeBron's.....

He can't sign the extension till July, so why not at least wait to see if he will before bashing him or jumping off a cliff? Signing anytime before, including around the trade deadline, would have been the worst business decision ever. It would have also been bad for us long term. Opting in to the final year allows him to still sign an extension this summer and get an additional year than signing the extension months ago.

How do we know he asn't already said he won't sign the extension already? Dwight is being incredibly quiet and I suspect he is having his "people" run things behind closed doors to avoid looking bad like he did last year.

We don't know, but what we do know is he's incapable of signing an extension right now. I'm sick of hearing people say if he really wanted to stay he would have signed an extension already. He can't yet, that's the point I'm trying to get across to people using that as an argument for why he's already gone. We also know he wasn't as serious about leaving Orlando as originally thought since he waived his option. There's no way he signs that waiver if he was 100% dedicated to leaving. Who knows where he's at now, but the point is nobody knows what's going on. Therefore, people should relax and wait to see what happens as soon as July comes around. If he doesn't sign an extension, then people would have more of a reason to be concerned.

It's great Rudolph had to tweet his horrible joke he says on the radio just incase we missed it.

He's Stephen A Smith more and more as each day passes by.

I mean seriously who is even talking about the Nets anymore other than Nets fans and Rudolph?

"The Magics don't want Brook Lopez. I think they go after Josh Smith or Ellis. Dwight may or may want out. The Magics can't get Ellis. Did I mention Monta Ellis yet? Stephon Marbury can still contribute." - Rudolph

   I thought the same thing.

And to the Dwight extension talk:

I understand that he loses an extra year by signing an extension. If that is a problem for him, why can't he say in a press conference "I will not sign the extension with the Orlando Magic however I will take advantage of my bird rights and sign a maximum year contract with the Orlando Magic in the offseason" (come july of course) versus having us "roll the dice" on him

i want dwight here long term, but in reality having an all world center does not mean championships. the last team to win a 'chip with a legit top center was miami. kobe did it with a broke bynum and soft gasol dirk did it with an offensively challenged center. wade and james did it with rupaul manning the middle. h

From a Hornets blog:

Was just told Rockets are trying to get #5 with one package, and offering #18 and Montiejunas for another top 10 pick. Would Dell do that?

Sorry I am way out of the loop on this but who is Montijunas and why is he such a big time commodity?

He was the 20th pick in the draft last year but I don't know much about his game other than watching highlights lol

#20 last year, 20 years old, 7'0'' from Lithuania. 12.5ppg/8rpg in top league in Europe. He would be a top 10 pick this season without a doubt, IMO.

Best Case: Pau Gasol
Worst Case: Yi Jianlian
