Is Tyreke Evans availiable & are you interested?

Post#1 » by tdownwa » Tue Jun 26, 2012 6:17 pm

The former R.O.Y (as a point guard) apparently has informed the team that he doesn't want to play small forward anymore. It also appears he's not getting an extension this summer so one might think Sac is willing to move him as the right price.

IMO Evans is still very talented albeit underachieving for the Kings. However it can easily be said that Kings are dysfunctional, and I question if their front office has never held Evans accountable for his disturbing behavior. Maybe a change of scenery is just what Evans needs!

Any interest by the Jazz? If so for whom?

I am almost always interested. It just depends on the price.

I think that the Jazz would have to give up more than he is worth and I doubt he would resign here.

I wonder how much of that is due to the culture that is in SAC. There are problems at every level in SAC... owners, GM, coaches, and players. They don't know what style they want to play. They force players into positions that don't work.

I wouldn't trade or bet the farm on him but if the price is right I would take a flyer on him.

Too much baggage on and off the court for the Jazz and like stated before the kings would want too much in return.

I guess I see things much like Hoops4life on this one. Evans has the potential to be a real star and his value might be down due to the Kings not knowing how to handle him or anyone in their organization IMO. I really think the culture or situation in Sac is creating some of the negative issues Evans and others are in. I think he has the potential to play a key role for a growing team like the Jazz and could really blossom in the right situation.

I don't understand some fans.

We want to get younger, more athletic, fun to watch players, and have super star potential but we don't want any negatives at all. These players are near impossible to to find. I can't think of any other than maybe Durant.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I would trade Jefferson, Bell, probably Burks, and a future heavily protected pick. (not all just some kind of combination)

He's played like this for the last 6 years. Situations don't affect players that much.

He always seems to play great against us. I remember him giving DWill fits in his rookie year.Just dont know how he would blend in with the team we have.

High risk, high reward. The young gun probably has more negatives than positives, but it would be interesting to take a flyer on him. That said... Sacto would probably ask for twice his real basketball value.
