Givony just came up with a new mock....here are three picks...

7. Golden State Warriors
Dion Waiters: SG, 20, 6-4, 221, Syracuse, Soph.
This has been one of the toughest picks to lock down over the last few weeks. As of late, Jerry West appears to have pushed this front office (and ownership) in the direction of Dion Waiters, despite the fact that he has refused to work out for the team and has not conducted a physical or even an interview with the Warriors. Surely this will set a bad precedent in coming years for how agents should conduct themselves during the draft process, which could cause some push-back from the league office, but for now, it looks fairly likely that Waiters is the pick here.

8. Toronto Raptors
Austin Rivers: SG, 19, 6-5, 203, Duke, Fresh.
After souring on initial long-time favorite Jeremy Lamb following an injury shortened workout, Toronto will be disappointed to see the new apples of their eye, Dion Waiters and Damian Lillard, get picked back to back right in front of them. Rivers is reportedly the pick for now, unless Toronto convinces Sacramento to trade down and hope Harrison Barnes is still available. Rivers can coexist with the likes of Jose Calderon and No. 1 free agent target Steve Nash harmoniously, both of which are hampering the Raptors from making significant moves until their situations clear up.

13. Phoenix Suns
Terrence Ross: SG/SF, 21, 6-7, 197, Washington, Soph.
The Suns are in a serious transition phase, with many key roster pieces entering free agency, making it difficult to pinpoint just one area of need. Regardless of whether Steve Nash and Aaron Brooks return, their wing rotation could use a serious upgrade, which could make an athletic sharp-shooting prospect like Ross attractive here. Ross refused the Suns' overtures to visit and work out throughout the pre-draft process, but much like with Waiters in Golden State, it doesn't appear that that will prevent Phoenix from picking him here.

Why the hell would the Suns pass on PJ3 and Jeremy Lamb for Ross?

Every other borderline playoff team in the West is improving itself except for the dum**ss Suns.

Ugh seriously make some god damn trades and acquire another 1st instead of ruining this damn team!

I think acquiring 1st round picks is a lot harder than you think it is.

I don't think so.....A LOT of teams are trading their 1st rd picks this year's draft so it shouldn't be that hard tbh.

IMO Suns should easily be able to get at least 3 first rd picks but at the very least we should have 2.

You don't need to trade them to reduce salary - you keep them to reduce salary. That's one more player that has the potential to crack the rotation for less than $2-3M. It saves from the signings of guys like Banks, Diaw, Childress, Warrick, etc.

I agree 100%

If a late draft pick is sold by a team this year - The Suns better be the buyer! It's time to start stockpiling draft picks. Draft picks are a low cost asset that creates fan interest and can be traded for future talent.

Why did Ross refuse to visit us. I was high on him, but that kind of pisses me off.

I was going to mention that too. I had never heard that until I just saw it in that last mock. For some reason I thought he had visited us a while back. Perhaps Givony was thinking about Rivers when he wrote that, who did refuse to workout for us.

Gambo says that there are only 3 real candidates at this point....

Kendall Marshall
Jeremy Lamb
Arnett Moultrie

First option is Waiters, but he will not be at 13 for sure
Second option is Rivers, but he will not be at 13 "almost" for sure.

Draft prospect expert being interviewed by Chad Ford. Pretty good listen....but to hear about our likely prospects, skip to about the 35min mark. Talks about Ross, Marshall, Lamb, Waiters....so far... 38 min into it...ok, now also Austin Rivers...going into detail about him at about 38 min mark.

The Suns will be very sorry if they select Kendall Marshall this year. Next year's draft class is so much better for PGs...

Best solution is to let Nash and Brooks go, sign Felton to a 1 year deal and keep Telfair as backup.

Gorram Skip Bayless said that Austin Rivers should go as high as the 2nd pick in the draft, comparing him to the "collegiate Michael Jordan" in terms of a player who had his talent disguised by the system.

Dude is a master-class troll.

Good I hope he's gone before we pick. I hope our FO don't over think this. If Lamb is available he's our man.

I think so too. I really do.

I know nothing about next year's draft class, but if there are much better PGs next season, then maybe it is best we take a SG now and a PG next year.

Moultrie?

Hmm... could Dudley be on the move to Boston? Makes a lot of sense, they are shopping their picks and there is a good chance Ray Allen leaves so they would need someone like JYD.

And Moultrie isn't projected to go until about pick #20 or so when the Celtics pick back to back.

I wouldn't be suprised to see Dudley moved for 1, if not, both of those picks.

IMO all of em ^^ will turn out better in the NBA than Marshall.

Frye might make more sense if we are looking at Moultrie, especially if they may lose KG and Bass. He seems more expendable for the Suns too. Not sure if Frye has much value, but he is a decent stretch four on a decent contract.

If a player like Budinger (drafted #44) lands Houston the #18 pick, im sure we could get better for Dudley. It would have to be BOTH Celtics picks.
