HOLY CRAP!!!

Riley pretty much called them out and told them to get their head back straight and work towards next year. LOVE IT!

Fair enough, I guess it can have its own thread.

I think it's funny that he's going to be sending the players letters and reminders to not slack off.

I wonder how Lebron will respond to this. Each offseason he has stepped up his game, I wonder if he'll continue to be aggressive about this or settle in. I don't think he'd settle, he seems like a guy that inherently works pretty hard at stuff.

Not to sound cliche, but now that they won this Finals...I really beliegve long term losing year one together as a unit will always be this to push this core. I think it crushed them all... humbled them more then they ever expected, and they respect how hard it was to do this.

WIth the exception of Wade, how they each respond is an unknown. It's safe to say that based on those comments Riles is concerned about it a bit.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

This is exactly why I love Riles..

Maybe if Cuban had done something similar Dirk would've shown up this year

Wade is prepping for next year

Ethan J. Skolnick: Wade will spend the offseason working on his midrange game, his outside shot. "Maybe working with a shooting coach for the first time ever." Twitter

Chris Tomasson: Dwyane Wade: "I don't have an ugly shot. I don't have one of those Shawn Marion shots.'' Twitter

He needs that Kobe Surgery, workout with Grover for the season, and that shot!!!!

Hearing what Riley said made me really happy, possibly adding Ray Ray, then Wade talking about getting a shooting coach... yes, **** yes.

Well this is nice to hear. I have never thought Wade has bad form on his shot. Yes his shot is flat and yes he tends to be off balance but his mechanics are pretty solid. To me he is just not comfortable shooting off a pass and is only comfortable when he can dribble into a shot. He need to learn how to be a spot up shooter, as does Lebron.

Riley knows he needs to keep the likes of Lebron and Wade on a short leash, what a leader.

If LeBron keeps working on his post game and gets a better standstill jump shot. He's basically the MVP next year, and the Heat may very win the championship.

Wade was off. Bosh statically was better in year 1.

So it goes as LeBron goes. If LeBron is on the attack, now that Wade (with the help of Tim Grover) will be back to the old DWade and Bosh will be even more comfortable now that they won it all.

LeBron sets the tone if its a repeat or not.

Riley also knows how to defend a title. So good to have someone like him at the top leading everything.

It's going to be tough for Lebron to add much to his game this summer with the olympics. But I think Wade should take this time off to figure out how to be more healthy, and to master his mid-range game. He needs to become Rip Hamilton in the mid-range.

For Lebron, keep working on the post. Maybe some mid-range jumpers too. But for the most part I just want Lebron in the post all year next year.

Chris needs to add 3 point range to his game. And make sure his body is in shape to handle playing center for 82 games plus playoffs. And make sure he's mentally good with being third option on a dynasty.

This was one of my fondest moments as a Lakers fan. I started watching hoops in the Bahamas, so Magic was my favorite player and Riley my favorite coach. I remember we got the broadcast of the Lakers parade and I fondly remember Riley saying that. I smiled with glee.

I'm glad he not only gave the media some meat, but also called out people. He helmed the 2007 coasters. He knows what he's doing here. He doesn't want to see this team get fat with success. I'm glad our GM was a recent coach, and that our coach is young and hungry. This has been a great season and championship, but the 2013 campaign has already begun. The draft is coming up. We're still taking names and kicking ass. Retreat? Hell. PEACE.

In the Pacers series, in a couple of games, he had a nice arc going...

He essentially needs to get it to be like that and he should be fine

His mechanics aren't bad, his shot just comes out flat like you guys say
