Add those two players with John Wall and that team has a very bright future.

I would love to get #6 & #11, but just w/ different players.

I been thinking Barnes struggles to create his own shot for himself and teammates so does Beal why do we blast on Barnes ? Remember D Rose meltdown in college and he's a star in the league. Why cant Barnes be a star also? He has a lot of talent can someone tell me what's the difference between Beal and Barnes beside Barnes has better size then him and more polished. You look at Beal there nothing that sticks out to me to say he will be better then Barnes a undersize shooting guard like Ben Gordon usually turn into bench players. Barnes has just as much upside as Beal to be an all star.

Barnes or Gilchrist.

If you dont come out of this draft with one of those two. The Wizards will regret it for a long time.

Beal a close 3rd.

No to Robinson.

Nugget from Bucks Beat Writer:

http://www.journaltimes.com/sports/bask ... f887a.html

"Charlotte isn’t the only upper-echelon team that’s fielding calls for its premium pick. So is Washington , which has the third pick. Several teams covet the Wizards’ third pick in order to draft either Kansas power forward Thomas Robinson or Florida shooting guard Brad Beal"

If Cle trades up to 2 (to take Beal), I could see Someone trading up to 3 to take Robinson ahead of Charlotte.

The negativity toward Barnes on this board is the result of group think :D arising from his poor play during the tournament. Those were probably the only games that Barnes' detractors saw him play all season. I'm willing to bet that those down on Barnes were down on James Harden when he struggled during the tournament his last year at ASU.

BTW, Barnes has an NBA body, is apparently a better athlete than we realize and is an underrated defender.

In Beal We Trust.

Barnes is as good as a Wizard and that 3rd pick is good as traded.

Then again, knowing Ernie he will pick Austin Rivers, who I dislike more than Barnes.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

if we get Harrison Barnes.....so be it. I will live with it. I think he has time to improve his game. I think being with John Wall will motivate him to play harder/to bring it/ and he will be a good fit for our team. I can totally see him being the rookie of the year or 1st team all rookie

James Harden was god awful in the tournament and everyone was down on him. It took him a few years to be come a really good NBA pro. Barnes will not be a bust.

But who? Robinson is such a logical fit for CHA that I haven't really thought about which other teams would be interested in him.

So can we all just end the Barnes hate now?

If we somehow find a way to trade down and grab Barnes and another pick I'll be absolutely ecstatic. I love how everyone looks at Barnes and goes "oh, well he's another Luol Deng...." I got news for you, I'd LOVE a younger, healthier Luol Deng on the Wizards. Is that kind of player worth the #3 pick in a draft? Probably not, but you can't tell me that if we find a way to fanagle another pick out of it and grab him lower that it'd be a bad move. I'm intrigued by Beal and I think he might be the no-brainer but the sky won't fall on me if we get a solid guy like Barnes.

P'Oed, I would have no problem with another Luol Deng. I think Barnes is closer to another Jarvis Hayes or a lesser Calbert Cheaney.

Robinson would be a perfect fit in Sac. Perhaps the rumor from Samuels is this scenerio...Namely that Sac takes Robinson to slide next to Cousins and does the Blatche for Garcia swap. We take whomever (MKG or Barnes) that Char doesn't take at 4.

Who cares he struggle to create his own shot right now that's why Wall is here to get people involved. This guy has all star potential he can really score the basketball and a pretty good defender. I'm not worry anymore if we miss out on Beal we can get MKG or Barnes and i be very happy plus we have are # 32 pick at that.

I actually think Shurma could be a target at #32. We need shooting, and a jump shooting big man would be a great get.

Beal vs Barnes Head to Head (per 40, pace adjusted):

2 point conversion rate: 54.1% vs. 46.9%
rebounds: 7.9 vs. 7.1
Combined blocks and steals: 2.6 vs. 1.7
Free Throws/2 point field goal: .83 vs. .52
True Shooting: 58% vs. 53%
PER: 22.0 vs. 21.0*
ORtg: 111.9 vs. 107.8

And this is a comparison between Barnes as a sophomore and Beal as a freshman, when the largest expected leap in quality of play (on average, not in every case obviously) occurs between a player's freshmen and sophomore season. Yes the stats are somewhat cherry picked, but they're also all relevant to either quality of play as a collegiate or correlate well with NBA performance or both.

*This despite Barnes attempting 36% more field goals.

I think Barnes is closer to a Jimmy Jackson at the latter stages of his career or to be blunt, a 33 yr old Jimmy Jackson.
