I hear they have been calling everyone. I wonder what their offer to us was?

Lopez who?

Lopez who?
-Jennings ordered the Lamb for the Deer (Jennings, Monta, Lamb)
-Nolan Smith took Sullinger 6th. Maybe there's something in the water down in Portland (not including Oden rehabbing his knee) with all the red flagged players.
-Bradley, wanting to give Averybody an aneurysm, took PJ III and Wroten back-to-back
-Tony Allen took Henry Sims 25th, citing his size, while also admittedly not knowing much about him
-Players shamelessly took their boys (ex-teammates)
-Wilson Chandler took Kris Joseph 20th, ahead of more intriguing guys
-Redick's chronicle with a real quote in less than desired context: Beal "has a life-threatening injury or a habit of punching his coaches"

Told you guys once I sold myself on Ross he wasn't going to be available...at that point he was in the late teens. If we don't get a SG in this draft...... you got to be eff'n kidding me?! 5 SG and a PG drafted in the first 12...in a big heavy draft WTF?!!! that is crap. I'm bought ready to get back on the Jones bandwagon, I want someone who has beast potential!!

Knowing us we refused a Dragic S&T for Childress.

bwgood77 wrote:I've wanted Ross from the beginning but would be ok with Lamb...Waiters would be nice too. Weird thing about Ross was, until the last couple of days, I thought for sure he would be there, and then all of the sudden I've read a bunch of stuff saying he is the real sleeper.
I think many of these teams in the top 10 though are trying to scare lower teams into thinking they will take who that team is targeting in hopes they can trade down to get who they want (mainly Toronto and GS who want 3s.) I wouldn't be that surprised if on draft night one of those teams takes Waiters (if they still have their pick at that point) and we take who they want and we swap and give them something else.

Alot of the mocks from today have him going 7th (GS), DraftExpress even has him going to Detroit at #9.

Jason Jones: 6-7 teams have had talks with Kings about the 5th pick that go beyond usal "would you move pick?" talk, per Geoff Petrie. via Twitter

Cheers mate. I thought it was a coordination thing.

Looks like they aren't going with Beal. Robinson looks pretty good there. Maybe Barnes.
Thats such a small backcourt! Kemba is 6"1 and Gordon is 6"2.
Walker/Gordon/Henderson/Robinson/Biyombo
Now Detroit has zero SG's (unless you count former PG Stuckey). Their lineup is a mess.
Knight/Bynum
Stuckey
Maggette/Prince/Daye
Jerebko/Villanueva
Monroe/

Just baffled by Charlotte's thinking - that's a lot of money and CMaggette could be unloaded at the deadline for a better deal.
anyone smarter than me who can explain the reasoning?
Yes, John Hollinger...The real action comes through the draft pick and the money changing hands. Charlotte now has a potential lottery pick in 2014 or 2015, and the cost is the difference in salary (about $14 million). Normally, that would be an excessive price to pay, but these aren't normal times. The Bobcats may not hit the league's salary floor in 2013-14, let alone the cap, so the $13.2 million that Gordon adds to their payroll in that season doesn't stand to hurt them much since they needed to add a bunch of salary anyway. In that sense, they really paid far less than $14 million for the draft pick.

It is derived from "making it rain," as in someone can make a lot of threes. A wet shot describes a player with a great shot from deep.
