thanks for sharing. I hope people don't kill you for it, but I certainly appreciate hearing what's being talked about.

As for Jameer, he'd have to opt-in so he could be traded. I guess you can say he has a mini-no-trade-clause.

Not so much, we discussed some days ago that they extended the period to opt-in to work on something together, for example, Nelson doesnt want to go to Charlotte, but maybe he accepts a deal to the Mavericks, right? Its a contender. Other option is do not trade Nelson on draft night for #17, they could make this deal some days after, when the FA starts (SnT).

Nelson can't be traded unless he opts in to his last year (not talking about S&T). If I understand it correctly, because he has the ability opt out, he can't be traded until he has 1 more year on his contract.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong or misunderstanding the process.

Sooo is that a yes or a no?

It's Kyler's way of beating around the bush -- which is what he does best. It's an obvious yes, but he beats around the bush because he never wants to be right or wrong.

Gotcha...I don't speak kyler very well I guess.

If Dwight hadn't bought in on Rob's plan, i'm pretty sure that Rob would be thinking about trade destinations as it's pretty clear that he won't be patient, since they are meeting up with him after the draft, i'm pretty sure that a move that will be made on draft day is going to make Dwight stay. Plus, there's no reason for Rich to go to LA unless Dwight is signing an extension, and if they go next monday, it would be after July 1st, so Dwight would benefit most from signing the extension then.

In my opinion, if YBR is telling the truth, then that makes me think Dwight is more likely to sign the extension than not.

If Rob had walked away from his meeting with Dwight yesterday thinking that he wants out, DeVos wouldn't be flying to LA next week and they'd be talking to Houston about those draft picks right now.

Or it could be a sign that Dwight isn't re signing and this is Devos's last ditch effort to convince him to stay. I don't consider it a success if we don't trade him on draft night. Success is when he signs the extension. I'm not hanging my hopes on that.

Im pretty sure we are past "last ditch efforts." its beyond ridiculous of how long this process has gone.

If Rob had walked away from that meeting feeling that Dwight was a lost cause, there is no way Devos would fly to LA to have a "last ditch effort."

I'm pretty sure Devos is fed up with Dwight at this point and would have told Rob to ship his arse out of town if Rob had walked away from that meeting feeling like Dwight wanted out.

I just don't understand why Dwight would run things by some guy like that.

YBR isn't back-tracking. When he posted that Rob and Dwight met last night, everyone on TBN was like "DWIGHTS STAYING, WE'RE GETTING MONTA, AND LEBRON IS COMING TO ORLANDO ZOOOMMMMGGG"

He's just telling people to settle downa bit first. He said he'll give everyone more info later on

I'd laugh my butt off if YBR came out and admitted he was a fraud. He's been toying with everyone's emotions for the last few months. haha

Apparently they exchanged a couple of DMs on Twitter and eventually started texting, but does it even matter as long as we are getting reliable information straight out of 12's mouth ?

Yes, you are right, thats my point, maybe i didnt write in a way you could understand (these language barriers...).

Well, my point is, they extended the period to try to work on something together, if Magic finds a trade partner for Nelson AND Nelson wants to go to this team, Nelson would opt-in, so Magic could trade him to THIS team, get something for him and Nelson would earn 8M next season (unlikely if he becomes a FA). If Magic doesnt find a trade partner which Nelson likes, Nelson would opt-out to try a long-term contract in FA.
