Yeah if 1- 2 hours later a legit outlet from the heat media reports. I would be more likely to believe that you had some kind of source

He was way ahead of it, we got a word on it a good two days before it broke out to the national media. He couldn't share the specifics in public at first, but he did tell a few guys in private messaging and a day or two later, it was out. Same trade as he talked about, every specific of it. It seriously was discussed, just didn't get finished.

He also said Dwight needed surgery, before twitter went off about it and before it was made official.

I for one believe what he says, after all, pro sports is just entertainment for us regular Joes and why not have fun with it. The guys seems very legit.

Not calling this YBG guy or whatever the eff his name is a troll or whatever. I just think this Magic regime is extremely tight lipped about stuff and i don't believe people when they they claim "Dwight Howard told me..."
After all the bull **** that went down last year I think to preserve his image Dwight is equally as tight lipped.

Fair enough, however it does not take insider knowledge to predict that the Magic would attempt to trade for Ellis since he was having a public rift with GS and the Magic needed explosive scoring from a guard. This board has been speculating about Ellis way before ybr let out those rumors.

+1, pretty obvious what our team needs were and still are.

I said yesterday a few times that I thought Rob had already talked to Dwight...

As for YBR: Coming from someone who is friends with a top college football runningback who's going to the NFL (IN REAL LIFE  not just on twitter) and was acquainted with Mickael Pietrus during his time in Orlando, I can''t imagine having any dialogue with them regarding their craft extending beyond "Are you going to ball out next game?"

Think about it..you think an athlete who the press rides all day, practices all day, and has their agency/representation calling them all day, wants to talk shop with someone they haven't even MET IN PERSON BEFORE? Let alone telling a guy how close you are to signing your extension and the inner workings of your organization. Rob just texted me, he's having a cookout. I'll talk to you guys later.

And there's nothing wrong with this. My issue is with posters calling other posters fools for even considering his info.

Nobody on here is busting out the celebration GIFS when YBR says something positive about the Dwight Situation.

True, but his rumor was on the day of and he specified that we'll be hearing something soon on the matter. It's not like he said it one day and it happened 5 days later.

Fact is YBR called details of a trade rumor before it went live on ESPN/RealGM/etc. So he can't be totally dismissed as a troll. Still can't take his word as official, but it certainly makes for interesting discussion while we wait.

Glad to hear that there is a dialogue between Rob and Dwight. There is a lack of trust between two sides and I think an outside mediator can repair it.

I still think Dwight wants to stay. If he didn't he would never have waived his ETO, and he would have gotten traded, played for a bum team for 2 months, and then walked to Brooklyn this summer. I think his heart is in Orlando, but his brain is telling him about championships and a "fresh start" in BRK.

Also, call me foolish, but I buy most of what YBR is telling. I've seen firsthand his proof that he has contact with Dwight. Whether everything he says is true is for you to decide, but he did prove that he talks to D12 about the organization at times. And YBR has never steered anyone wrong. He was all over that Monta deal before anyone else was and in addition to the Dwight ETO thing. Read what he says for perspective, as you would a column by Kyler, Rudolph, Berger, Amick, Woj. But don't let it be the end all be all of your judgement of a situation.

See but I don't see why this proves that he has that connection to Dwight. It seems like two separate things, knowing details of trades if stuff I doubt they would share with Dwight, so how would that connection give him access to that information?

John Hollinger ‏@johnhollinger
Per @Chris_Broussard report, Ws-Nugs trade of Chandler for 7 works if DWright goes back to Denver.

Shannon J. Owens ‏@shannonowens
#Mavs asst coach Darrell Armstrong on his top 5 NBA point guards: CP3, Deron Williams, Jason Kidd, Westbrook and Jameer Nelson.

So Indiana ends up with the Walsh/Pritchard combo.

Yeah, around December. Pretty sure others saw it too. Again, that only proves he has contact. All the other stuff is up for debate.
