Not a bad trade. only move down 2 spots. should get either Ross or one of the Jones.

He's also an expiring and it should prevent a major blunder at 12. Good deal for all parties in my opinion, again depending on what happens with the 14th pick.

For me, the grade on the trade depends what happens in the draft. Dalembert is a one year stop gap, nothing more.

If we stay at 14 I'd be fine with any of: Lamb, Ross, Jones, Jones III

Hopefully Lamb slips to 14 w/ the shoulder and ankle concerns.

If they don't sign Ersan they're more than negating any positive this brings though.

They almost traded for SD at the break, so this isn't that surprising I guess.
This should remove the Henson(finally)/Leonard/Zeller chatter tho.

Welp... Dalembert has been extremely durable over the course of his career. So, I'm sure as soon as he gets off the plane in Miltown, he'll come down w/ a bad case of Bucksitis.

I like this trade for a few reasons:
A) assures we won't draft one of the bust white stiffs at C
B) rids us of Brockman's worthless roster spot
C) gets us a legit C so we won't have to witness Gooden getting owned
D) we only slide down 2 spots -- we must be targeting a guy (hopefully athletic 2 or 3)

We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Cleared some roster spots, wonder if we'll try and add another 1st or more 2nd round picks? Also will be curious if Kwame is still in the plans to resign? Wonder if Leuer gone means we'll overpay Ersan?

Brockman is gone?
Crazy deal. Only moving down two spots.
But we traded Leuer?

He should be easily flipped at the deadline if Milwaukee is totally out of the playoff picture. We never capitalize on those types of situations so most likely not, though

Isn't Dalembert a team option this year?

So does dalembert have a team option for this coming season? Am I reading that right? Was it already picked up?

Maybe. If Ross and Lamb are gone, they still could take a big like T. Jones.
Trade S. Jackson soon. NJ seems like a nice place for him.

To me, that's huge. Instead of wasting a valuable pick on a career backup, the Bucks get a one-year rental and can look again at C next year when far superior players are expected to be in the draft at that position. It also means fewer minutes for Gooden at C and that's obviously huge news. Plus, the drop-off from 12 to 14 shouldn't be significant so the Bucks should still be able to get a good player there.
Only negative I see (again depending on what happens at 14) is losing Leuer. I think he can be a fine rotation PF in this league given his offensive ability. But it was obvious Skiles never trusted him and had no real interest in playing him.
