I doubt they dropped back two spots in the draft just to pay Dalembert 1.5mil to go away. I think he stays and you see them go for a PF at 14. Or a SF like Ross to pair next to Jennings and Ellis.

Id call them about Larry Sanders though. He could be an easy get right about now for little to no cost.

Sullinger also might be a good pick for them. Jennings, Ellis, Mbah a Moute, Sullinger, Dalembert as a starting 5 has a pretty decent mix of offense and defense to it.

Dalambert actually makes A LOT of sense if they plan to keep Ilyasova. Stretch 4 next to Sammy is ideal IMO.

They shed the salaries of other guys in the deal...so they are saving money if they cut him. Could be looking to have more for FA since they may want to re-sign Ilyasova.

Who did they trade away? I thought it was a simple Dalembert and 14 for 12. Didnt know other players were involved, my mistake if that is the case.

Tim Kawakami: NBA source on Warriors and Dorell Wright: "They're really trying to move him." Before, during or after the draft? "Whenever they can." Twitter

Livingston, Brockman and Leurer and 12th pick to Houston for Dalembert and 14th pick

Edit: So those 3 make about 5 mil...so by cutting Sam, they could save about 3.5 mil. I expect they would keep him, but you never know.

My dream draft is Waiters at 7 via Iguodala trade, Perry Jones at 15 (if we keep it) and a big in the 2nd round. I'd be very happy.

My mistake then. However Livingston and Leuer both had team options and Brockman was signed next year for only 1 mil. So if they wanted to shed that salary just for FA they could have just declined there options. So if they payout Dalembert for 1.5mil theyd actually still be losing 500k, unless they had already picked up there options that im not aware of? Seems like a trade that wouldnt mean much unless they planned to keep Dalembert.

Spears writes: "Ex-Kentucky forward Terrence Jones will be sitting in stands during the NBA Draft after not receiving green room invite. Keep eye on Sixers."

Jones, Sullinger, and Perry Jones III could all still be on the board when Philly makes its pick at No. 15, so the 76ers could have a chance to pick from the lot. Like Sullinger and Perry Jones III, Terrence Jones was once considered a lock to go in the lottery, so getting him at No. 15 be a solid value.

Wow you just have to admire the work that Houston is doing. I don't
now how it will all turn out but it won't be from lack of trying.
Just Wow. They are going for broke if Howard is their target.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

Let's send Iguodala (something else) to Houston for 12, 16 and Martin

We can come out of the draft with a player everyone like lol

12 - Lamb/Ross
15 - T. Jones/P. Jones/Sullinger/Leonard/Zeller/Harkless/Moultrie
18 - F. Melo/Q. Miller or whoever is left from the candidates for #15

Whole new team overnight!

It's times like this I wish we hired Pritchard. He was notorious for draft day deals, and had some great pickups for Portland. If it weren't for catastrophic injuries, that team would have been crazy good.
Roy Aldridge Oden Fernandez Batum etc.

I just pray that we bring In someone that makes things happen....guess I'll just keep wishing lol

12,16 and Martin is way too much to ask for IMO.

Maybe Martin and a pick, but both 1st's, I think houston laughs.

I think we over value iguodala.

Rod Thorn was just on the Radio and he said the chances of Iggy,Hawes, and Lou coming back are greater than 50-50. He really likes Miles Leonard(uhh)

Feel like after a year of Sammy people are ready to ship him across the country first chance they get.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
