and if the Beans or Jeff contracts were keeping us from takign the deal then we are ****.

Take Beans...hell he'd be just as good as Battie(and not Hawesome Hawes trolololol) was.

Too bad we are gonna wait for Houston to swipe in and steal it from us.

Good job, guys. Almost did something...

can't do that.

Here are my top 15 players who will have the best career in the NBA (all, of course, barring injury):

1. Anthony Davis
2. Harrison Barnes
3. Thomas Robinson
4. Andre Drummond
5. MKG
6 Royce White
7. Jared Sullinger
8. Damian Lillard (but to be honest, I haven't seen enough of him. I just like what I've heard)
9. Kendall Marshall
10. Bradley Beal
11. Quincy Miller
12. Dion Waiters
13. Draymond Green
14. Moe Harkless
15. Terrence Ross
16. Doron Lamb

Once again, I'm projecting their NBA careers.

*16 because I screwed up.

Wow, whoops... And I'm a Kentucky fan. I was planning on putting him 5, edited something, and forgot to put him in... My bad!

Negrodamus,

Question for you...what are your thought on Darius Miller at say pick 45 for the Sixers? I saw some Kentucky replays recently and even though his stats didn't reflect it, he seemed to always make an impact in the games I watched. Seems like a smart guy who does a lot of the little things, but can also hit the 3 a bit.

I think we end up moving the Speights exception plus meeks plus a 2nd round pick for Jamal Crawford and thats it.

I think Ross may not be high on everyone's board, because he brings a skill set that lacks certain qualities, but I think he's the PERFECT fit next to Jrue and Turner. He doesn't pass the ball or handle the ball well. OK fine. That's Jrue and ET's job anyways. They will find him open so he can do what he's good at, shoot the ball. He doesn't drive well to the basket. OK fine. Jrue and ET got that covered. They will pull his defender in and kick it out to him for the open 3, where he excels.

Ross hit more 3's than Rivers, Lamb, and Beal. I didn't know that until today. And it wasn't just because he took more 3pt shots, he had better %'s too than all of them. His biggest strength is hitting catch and shoot 3's or off one dribble. That's exactly what Jrue/Turner need.

And he isn't hampered by being a bad defender. One of his strengths is actually his defense, along with rebounding and athleticism.

If the biggest issues are his passing/dribbling/driving/and to some extent BBIQ, that can all be made up by Jrue/ET doing those things and him simply worrying about shooting the ball and defending.

I think he's a great option at SG between Jrue and Turner.

Also, a comment on Henson as I just noticed something. He almost has the same physical measurements as McGee, except for weight of course. He's got nearly the same standing reach and wingspan, while about 1 inch shorter. Maybe the F.O. sees him being able to put on another 15-20 lbs to get to 240-250 and be a McGee type center? Just throwing it out there. Maybe he did so well in his interviews because he talked about his dedication to adding weight and strength, seeing as how he put on 30 lbs easily at UNC, what's to say he can't put on 20 more, especially once working with NBA S&C coaches?

I'll tell you one thing, as much as some of you may dislike Henson's game, if he does add 20lbs in his first few seasons, he's going to be a monster in the NBA. He's got everything he needs already, including a developing offensive game. If he does what I think he's going to do, we'll be upset we didn't draft him. And we'll be saying, "We could have had Henson for Iggy?!?!"

LOL flame on...tomorrow night can't get here quick enough.

Meeks is a FA and I don't think you are allowed to combine trade exceptions and players in a deal.

i still believe in turner. doug collins was constantly stunting his development by giving him inconsistent minutes. by trading iggy, it forces turner to show his true potential. if he doesnt, then he's a bust. but until he's given a fair chance, i wouldnt trade him

He's my favorite UK player regardless of year or sport. I watched him his senior year win the Kentucky State championship and obviously watched him his whole career at UK.

He is the ultimate stats-don't-reflect-impact type player. I think I said it before, but he was phenomenal at finding the right pass that led to the assist. Unselfish, hard working, played within the offense and never forced anything. Perfect team player.

Funny (and sad, depending who you talk to) thing about Darius is that if he took 20 shots a game, he would have been a 25+ ppg scorer for UK. He just knows what it takes to win, so he sacrifices selfishness for success. He has a great shot and phenomenal athlete. He can (and probably will for a period of time) be a starter in this league, but he will see most of his time off the bench. I'd be ecstatic if we drafted him.

I gotta believe that the best (realistic) player for this team in this draft is Harrison Barnes. He would absolutely blow up for this team with his scoring ability.

Im starting to think the move to get Henson is way better than all the other moves(Gasol,Al,Josh Smith) in a Iguodala trade. You dont trade Iguodala for these veterans, you get these veterans to play with Iguodala. If you want one of these guys then package Thad/Turner/and the 1st rounder.

Geting Henson plus Wright for Iggy is the only real logic move IMO tho. Then you can move up from 15 somehow to nab Ross lol.

Good. Based on most projections, he's the guy they should target if the stay at #15.

FYI

Jamal Crawford officially informed the Trail Blazers that he will opt out and become a free agent this summer.
This is not surprising, but it does mean that the Blazers won't be able to trade him and Crawford will be free to sign with whatever team he chooses. There are rumors that he could end up in Minnesota, but his options are basically wide open at this point.

Thanks for the recap. About what I was hoping to hear. I second the hope that we draft him in the 2nd rd.
