Re: ESPN lied - Miller not sure about retirement
Personally I don't expect Miller to retire. It seems that he'd only consider it if the doctors say that he can't play anymore. He's banged up, but I doubt he's so banged up that he can't take another crack at it.

Re: ESPN lied - Miller not sure about retirement
Miller is a great rebounder and shooter but at this point, his body is done. He's injured more often than not. He should just retire while on top. If healthy, I'd rather have Miller than Ray Allen, but rarely is he ever healthy, so I'd want a future Hall of Famer in Ray Allen on this team.

If he does retire I just hope we get the 2.9 million injury exception.

Mickey Arison might not be thrilled to pay luxury tax but I think his deal with Riley is that he will pay for a winner as long as Riley can deliver one.
I'm sure his new TV deal can makes up for it.

Re: ESPN lied - Miller not sure about retirement
Meh, there is a solution to somehow get the most out of Mike if he stays.
Don't overplay him and let him play in spurts. The thing is, he dives on the floor too much. I like it and all but a dive on the floor is something breaking for him... can't have that.
But if he gets like 15 mins a night and when he's out there JUST RUN EVERYTHING THROUGH HIM, we should be fine. Having Miller out there just standing around does not help. And don't let him guard LeBron in practice
Run plays for Mike, and then get him the hell out of game.
Now what he did in game 5, I just can't don't see us amnestying him. Trading him? possibly. It will probably be very hard and a kick in the groin to him, but we gotta do what we gotta do.
Now if Miller gives them permission... I think that would lighten the mood.

Keep Miller, let him haver surgery and sit all season...use the disabled player exception on a Center or Ray Allen...
After what Miller did...he has balls...ONIONS...he should stay,
