If both Henson and Ross are on the board at 15, my dream would be draft Henson at 15, trade Iggy and Turner to Dallas for 16, Marion, and Haywood. Draft Ross at 16.

Jrue/Vet Free Agent
Ross/Meeks
Marion/S. Young
Henson/Allen/Thad
Haywood/Vucevic

HAHA I know I know....but I can be silly too.

On the ATL trade offer, I guess there is value in the fact that Marvin's contract is 2 less years than Thad and Josh's is 1 less year than Iggy. So flexibility? Also, Josh is probably more tradeable than Iggy, so you get a guy off the bench in Thad's role, locked in for 2 fewer years. And an asset that teams are obviously coveting more than Iggy at the moment. So you could flip him for better return.

Did we seriously offer this deal? Seems like Atlanta would be the team offering it.

That was my thought as well. If it was offered to us and we turned it down, thats one thing. But if we offered that then that sounds like pure desperation just to make a move. It in no way helps us now or in the future.

Hears to hoping Josh Smith gets traded for Pau Gasol like its rumored so we can get those 2 awful rumors out of the equation....

Josh Smith is better than Iguodala and Williams is better than his reputation. He's a solid 3, but his contract and draft position make people think he's worse than he is.

Thats what i'm doing! Except I really am going to burn my house down if we draft Terrence Ross and Sullinger, Perry or Terrence Jones, or even Tyler Zeller is still there.

Any chance the Sixers try to get in on a 3 way with LA and ATL? Lakers get Iggy, Sixers get Smith, ATL gets Gasol? I would think that's something that might work for all involved, except Philly fans won't like it necessarily.

Smith is younger, and better offensively than Iggy. And he plays PF. Seems like the "athletic" big mgmt wants.

Then you trade up in a small deal for Ross.

Perry jones has his second visit with Houston. If they stay put and Drummond is off the board, I think you can chalk him off the list. The rockets gamble and are aggressive in making moves. Good for them.

I saw that the Rockets were again denied trying to get into the top 5 (aka to get Dwight). According to sources they said they would turn their attention to Josh Smith or Rudy Gay. Surely if they are in the market for a Josh Smith or Rudy Gay they'd have an appetite for Iggy. Could we get them to agree to #14 and Kevin Martin for Iggy and #42...? Would they do that? Would you guys like that for us? Thoughts? Thanks...

Maybe Drummond will fall to us at 15 and PJIII will fall to us at 45 and Machado at 54.

And well trade Iguodala to houston for 12 and 18 and take Ross at 12 and Sullinger 18.

Jrue/Machado
Turner/Ross
Ross/PJIII
Sullinger/Thad/Allen
Drummond/Vucevic

2016 NBA Champions.

if Sixers fans hate Iguodala sometimes falling in love with long 2's, wait till they get a load of J Smoove...he's a good player but that trade doesn't do it for me.

I'm guessing that the Atlanta trade is more financial and too me not God awful. Probably thinking about not paying Brand to not play. He becomes starter at C. Everyone else falls into place. No need to resign Hawes then and they can rotate in Nik and Lavoy. Everyone seems to be writing Nik off. It should be a given with an offseason with us he will improve.

+10000.

I was just abut to say this. Josh Smith drives me crazy shooting mid range jumpers, when hes playing for the other team! I cant imagine how much Id hate it if he was wearing a Sixers uni.

"Negrodamus"

Who do you want then? I feel very similar to this, but who are you looking at? And please don't say Leonard.

Oh hell no to Meyers Leonard! I'm going to need a lot of Meyers Rum to drink if we draft that fool!
As for Terrence Ross it just makes no sense to me to spend a pick on a wing player that may or may not do anything when we are in a draft that has potentially a bunch of quality bigs available not named Meyers Leonard. The needs for this team were obvious...Athletic big man right? Frontcourt help right?
At 15 we could get that if Moultrie, Terrence Jones, Perry Jones, and my personal favorite Sullinger is there we could take our pick! But no! This team wants Terrence Fking Ross for some reason! Why not just draft a damn point guard if thats the thinking behind all of this?

To answer your question ("who do you want")....
Well I like Jared Sullinger at 15. He's a low post big man in the mold of the old school power forward and to me that is Philadelphia all day. Moses, Barkley, Weatherspoon, Ty Hill, Elton Brand. Sullinger can score too and lord knows we need that! So we could draft Sullinger who has an offensive game already and is a good rebounder at 15 and we would get a friggin steal! I'm glad the red flags are there because it puts us in a position to take him if he's there, but we Fking wont! Nothing is promised anywhere but I think that Sullinger is going to make the critics eat their words... Same crap happened with Ty Lawson a couple of years ago and look at what the hell has happened with him in Denver! Dude was playing like a warrior demon in the playoffs against the Lakers!
Damn man..If you can ball you can ball.. Throw that other crap out the window. Sullinger is a tough dude....blue collar type of guy. He's gonna play through any pain he has and he's gonna bang with any big in the game no matter the size.
Sorry thats just me....And that is who I like.. I guess the rest of you will all be super happy when we take Terrence Ross, Meyers Leonard, or Tyler Zeller. After all Ross can run fast and jump high, and both Leonard and Zeller are really tall!

I'm not going to compare Terrence Ross to Rodney Carney, but my man Carney had very similar stats on an OK Memphis team.

What's really separating Terrence Ross from a run of the mill 6'7 SF? He has a good shot.. Alright, well so does a bunch of players below him. It's not like he dropped 25+ ppg for his team. And it's not like Washington was a world beater last year.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
