Draft Poll 2012

Post#1 » by dangermouse » Wed Jun 27, 2012 11:57 pm

I know we have a draft thread, but we are less than a day away and I just wanted to take stock of who is the most popular choice on the board. (Looking at the threads, its probably Beal, but many have flipped and flopped over their choice).

For this, disregard who might get chosen first or who might trade up, or trading down, etc...

Obviously Davis is an impossibility, so basically who is the next best guy in your opinion?

Definitely Beal, but if he's not available at 3, then MKG. DO NOT WANT BARNES

Just to be different, I selected Damian Lillard to force some kind of deal with another team for two firsts and them taking back Blatche.

I would pick Lillard and trade him to Portland, along with Andre Blatche for Wes Matthews and the #6 pick. At #6, I might select Drummond just because I think another team might be dumb enough to give up value for him.

If I ended up with Wes Matthews and Drummond and no Blatche, I had a good draft.

I believe Sacramento really wants Lillard, so I would also be ready to send them Blatche+Lillard for Garcia, #5, and #36. At #5 I might select Waiters. With #36 I would take Crowder. Add Garcia, Waiters, Crowder and subtract Blatche is another good draft.

If Beal is on the board, with all the buzz he is getting, I think it is entirely possible to trade Beal and get some very, very good deals.

I have no preference between Beal and MKG. If you forced me to pick one, I think I'd go MKG, but I'd be just as good flipping a coin.

Beal.

Perfect running mate for Wall and can stretch the floor. If he was 22 or something ridiculous I'd hesitate, but he's turning 19 tomorrow and will only get better.
