Besidez the fact Soriano almost blew thw game today and Nova's run support is what prevents his ugly ERA from being. 500....what else do I have to prove?

Somehow you fail to mention that Soriano has pitched 4 games in 5 days and should have never pitched yesterday if Cory Wade could get an out.

Nova is a 25 year old pitcher pitching in the AL East with a 4.25 era, not great, not bad but decent. His era plus this season is 98. Not bad for a 2nd year player playing in a high pressure of NY.

How did BJ Burnout, Randy Johnson, and others pitch in NY? I'm sorry, I thought we expected 25 year olds to pitch like Cy Young, Pedro and Maddux.

And your strawman argument is beyond weak. How does Nova's run support have anything to do with his era? One is pitching with defense and the other is offense only. Hell you can make an argument that receiving alot of runs is going to dictate him to pitch to the score.

Somehow you forget the guy's entire career of being a clubhouse cancer, only one full good season as a closer, and a good couple months most of which have been against cheese cake teams.

And if you're bragging about a guy with a 4.25 ERA...I mean, can't we make the same case for Hughes who isn't that far behind with similar run support. Not to mention, your boy Jimenez who can at least stay healthy than that "can't miss" fatso from Seattle right?

Then again, you're the guy who was ready to bury Jeter after every thing he's proven...sure Jetes ain't young and he's been streaky lately but he's still hustling and spry for 38.

4.08 era and shutting down the First Place White Sox. not bad for a 2nd year Rookie pitcher making the league minimum.

Soriano sure is a club house cancer. How are the Yankees doing this season with him as the closer?

Straw arguments.

Ozzie Guillen is that you? AJ Burnett is 9-2 with the PIRATES! We can keep this going forever and you'll LOSE.
