Chad Ford Mock 10.0 Bucks take Terrence Ross

14. Milwaukee (via Rockets)

Analysis: The Bucks have moved down two spots in the draft, but it shouldn't dramatically effect which player they take. In fact, now that they've added Samuel Dalembert, they have more freedom to draft a shooter at the wing positions. Ross worked out for the Bucks on Tuesday, and while I don't think it was a game-changer, they might opt to take him if Tyler Zeller and Lamb are gone.

Trade Scenarios: The Bucks just pulled off a trade to get Dalembert and move down two spots in the draft. Think they're probably done.

Hoping like hell that Zeller is gone and Lamb is available. Otherwise happy with Ross. Wouldn't object to Leonard either at 14 if all the touted wings are gone and Lamb.

Still hoping we move up to grab Drummond, but don't think we have the assets to move up anymore. Oh well

Yup, I'd be good with Ross. If not, I'd roll the dice on Perry Jones III.

Another big man?

After acquiring Dalembert, Bucks general manager John Hammond wouldn’t rule out drafting a center with the 14th overall pick.

It’s quite possible one center whom the Bucks like — Illinois’ Meyers Leonard — could still be available to them.

There is even a chance, an outside one, that Connecticut center Andre Drummond could fall to 14. Some NBA officials told me Wednesday that Drummond, once a projected top four selection, is falling.

Some NBA officials feel Drummond’s landing spot could be Detroit at 9, while some others believe he could slip to Portland at 11.

Yet just as there were indications on Wednesday afternoon that the Kings were resisting the Rockets' overtures for the No. 5 pick, there was yet another name added to that mix of prospects who could be used in a possible deal for Howard or perhaps another star. Sources say Baylor forward Perry Jones made a surprise second visit to Houston on Wednesday at the Rockets' request. While Jones is known to be on the Rockets' radar, sources say Orlando -- which picks at No. 19 when Jones is likely to be gone -- is high on him as well.

Sacramento is among the many teams Houston has been talking to about trading picks, and the Kings -- who have had talks with Golden State about moving back to No. 7 -- have shown some interest in acquiring a big man later in the draft rather than take whichever player falls to them at No. 5. The Rockets have had discussions with top 10 teams involving their leading scorer, shooting guard Kevin Martin, who has one year and $12.9 million left on his contract. Houston also has a quality point guard in Kyle Lowry, who expressed dissatisfaction with coach Kevin McHale last month.

Terrence Ross would be good. I'd be happy. Wouldn't mind if we aren't done dealing either. Hammond didn't rule that out in yesterday's interview. Please please please deal gooden for a pick. Here's to a pipe dream....

I'd bet that both Zeller and Leonard are there when we pick, they have both been so overrated, and Henson may even be there. I think Lamb, Ross, and Perry are gone. Here's to hoping we take TJones.

Even if its a pick and an equally bad contract. The key is getting him off the team.

The scuttlebutt is Woelfel is just full of crap. No way Drummond makes it out of Top 10. Seriously does Woelfel have a bet with a friend where he has to use the word "scuttlebutt" in everyone of his columns for a year?

If Ford's info is spot on regarding our big board, pathetic. We will never be out of the Zeller woods.

How in the blue hell is Tyler Zeller #1 on our draft board?

Lamb going #13 would suck royally.

14. MILWAUKEE BUCKS: Terrence Ross, G, Washington

The Bucks would love to see Ross fall to this spot. Then they would have their center (Dalembert) and wing player in a draft coup of sorts. Ross' athleticism and 6-7, 197-pound frame is what they seek. If Ross and Lamb are gone, maybe Terrence Jones is the pick.

The positive is it sounds like Zeller may be gone by #14, lets hope to eliminate the temptation. I would have to think if they have any inkling that Ellis is going to leave that they would want to have a back-up plan at SG. I would be happy with Ross, Lamb, or I guess even Rivers is still in play per JS. I liked the trade yesterday IF they go one of the above, or even like Terrence Jones is cool.

I wouldn't mind parting with Moute for a mid/early late 1st and taking a flyer on Fab Melo either.

And I still think if they are committed to Gooden that there are too many PF's, especially if Ersan is brought back. Unless they go Moute at the 3 but then I fear Harris will be buried again.

Jennings/Udrih
Ellis/Ross
Harris/Dunleavy
Gooden/Moute/Udoh --- Ersan?

Rumors are...according to the internet Hammonds plans on taking Meyers Leonard at 14.

"Drummond Falling on Team’s Draft Boards?

I thought Leonard was going to be a quality pick but watching highlights of him last night I changed my mind. The guy is awful and has the same potential as Larry Sanders. I'd take Drummond if he falls that far but if Zeller is there I'd take him......I'd take Sullinger over Leonard any day.

Man, if Lamb goes 13, I'll be ticked off. Ross is a big downgrade in my eyes. He's got a high floor, but his ceiling is alot lower than Lambs. If we miss out on Lamb because of the Dalembert trade it's a major fail.

I'm leaning this way too at the moment. I think Lamb would have clearly been the top ceiling guy available at 12, if he was there (other than maybe PJIII, who is not on our board from all reports).

I'd still be OK with Ross or T. Jones, but Lamb has been my top target for a while.

And if they're both gone, we will be forced to go big or trade down.

I don't see both Ross and T. Jones being gone. There is really only one scenario where that happens and that is if both Leonard and Zeller are on the board at 14, which would be surprising.
