We know they are somewhat on the block but what are the trade value for them?? Are they worth a top 5 or 10 pick, are they worth a player in return in the range of 25-50 best players??

YES!! Jefferson is a top 5 center in the league. Millsap is a top 10-12 PF and team guy. They will both bring a good return. We just need to find the right team. It's all about team needs and wants. Both could bring in a player with a long term contract that a team is looking to dump, like Rudy Gay, Iggy, or maybe a guy like Monta Ellis, or Danny Granger.

The other option is to package them with the GS pick or our own next yr to a team in the top 5 who could get a great vet this yr and a great pick next yr.

Trades are all about finding someone who has a need and somehow filling it. This could be easier with the new collective bargaining agreemnent and could help the Jazz unload short term contracts for longer ones, but who really knows...

Top 10 draft pick for Millsap and multiple top 20 first rounders for Jefferson. I'd probably want a decent piece with those picks for Jefferson too.

And those are my basement prices.

Al jefferson is worth a top 10 pick in this draft at least. He's a top 5 center and a top 10 PF and those are hard to obtain even what is billed as a weak era for centers.

Millsap is worth a #15 - # 20 pick. The teams in the lottery for the most part are not ready to compete so why trade a lottery pick for a guy who isn't top 10 in his position when the lottery pick could turn out to be a top 10 position player or higher. They have time to wait so no point in getting Millsap.

I think Millsap can get a 8-15 pick this year, while Al, reportedly, cant get a mid first rounder in this years draft.

I hope i am wrong. I would hope that Al could fetch more, but that is what I keep hearing.

You honstly think a team like the bucks wouldn't willingly give up their lottery pick and whatever else for Al jefferson who's on a expiring contact and willing to resign with any team that really wants him instead of getting Dalembert? You think Houston isn't seriously considering taking jefferson after their dwight howard plan falls through? Come on now ..... I'm sure Portland have gave the Jazz a few calls about Jefferson.

In reality most of the "reports" are just talk and nothing concrete because KOC doesn't work like that. I dought he goes around offering guys like that, he works more quickly than that. If he wants to trade Jefferson he can, he just hasn't found a deal thats worth giving up Jefferson. He values Jefferson alot more than most people on this board do.
