If they trade up and land Austin Rivers that means KG and Ray are coming back. Means Bradley and the picks are gone.

That type of move would make Doc smile very big. It would be like coaching his kids.. KG, Paul, Ray being the big brothers and Austin/Rondo being the talented/stubborn babies of the family. KG thinks it would be, "dope"....Ray gets his starting job back and can mentor Austin.

this doesn't exactly thrill me, it's a new development because I was told Austin to Boston wasn't happening.

Anyway.

Rondo, Ray, Pierce, KG, FA
Rivers, Pietrus, Green, Bass, Steamer is a solid, solid team. But it doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies either.

Doesn't mean I don't love it though so keep it coming. I am a dreamer but I'd say Danny will most likely end up using both picks and at the day and even that gets me excited. Anything beyond that will be icing on the cake.

This is why I was going to hold back and not say anything. I did tell my wife and a couple of my buddys. But I was too excited I just wanted to mention something on here. Anyways I'm actually sorry that I did.

Also this has nothing to do with any convo that I had with anyone but just thinking, and I'm sorry I didn't mention this to Doc but who in this draft knows any player as good as the Cs would know Austin Rivers? I think if you want your team to draft a player you want them to be well informed. Danny has been looking at this kid well since he was a kid. He seen him play in one on one games vs. Pierce, Tony Allen, Delonte and Rondo just to name a few. Kids game is NBA ready and I recall people sleeping on S. Curry game before the draft. As it turns out S. Curry has become a pretty good NBA player. Austin Rivers has better handle, speed, and burst to the basket than S. Curry.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Cs moved up to get him.

This post means nothing. Doc wouldn't say their plans to a fan or friend.

Lucas- glad u spoke with Doc but I don't think we learned anything here today. He's obviously giddy and excited. His child is about to be a lottery pick in the NBA. Do you know how freakin proud he must be?? That's gotta be the most satisfying feeling for a father. ****, my daughter rolls over and I feel proud.

It's probably the reason why Doc signed long-term with the C's - way beyond the big three era - he was promised his son would be playing for him.

Personally after what he showed this season, we would want to get something pretty special back if we moved Bradley. And as I said earlier, Austin Rivers does not get me excited and giddy.

Is he that much better than Bradley plus some combination of White, Sullinger, Jones, Wroten (who I have heard mention of) etc? You would want him to be if you make that move.

Frank is either

A. looking to break the PostReply record on RealgmCeltics
B. Knows Austin is coming here and is leaking the info as politely as possible without being disrespectful
C. Really did learn something HUGE and really can't say it.
D. None of the above. Met Doc Rivers, period.

Bradley and the picks to select Rivers? Doc's giddiness would be my dismay.

Josh Smith to the Celtics ?

Other than that we combine Avery+our two picks and we are going after a game changing big man.
Probably Drummond from Portland or Leonard from the Bucks.

Like I've said multiple times on here. My sources have said more then once that Ainge is looking into making a BIG splash.

Howard, JSmith, Gasol, Harden, Tyreke Evans have been names associated with what they're looking in to.

Bradley and a pick should be enough to get rivers imo, although i don't know if other teams value bradley that highly.

The Cs could be trying to trade up to get a top pick like number 2 and than flip that pick to OKC for Harden.

OKC needs to make a choice on Harden and Serge. I think if they can move to pick number 2 they can draft Beal who is Harden lite. The save money by drafting Beal and moving Harden. They can than extend Serge. That a classic OKC / small market move

Any chance we can get Darth Celtic to confirm Frank Lucas' source and then get Ryen Gomes on the computer to verify all of this?

yup. gives Boston a 2nd young star along with Rondo and keeps them in title contention this season if KG comes back.

Next offseason you can pitch Rondo, Harden, Howard/Bynum trio to Dwight and Bynum.

It could well be enough to get him, my question is should we do it? I am definitely not sold as we know that Bradley has two elite NBA skills (defense and athleticism) and is improving all other areas of his game. He is also only slightly older than Rivers.

I would not be real happy if we traded Bradley unless it was part of a package for a star, not a draft pick. I would be even less happy if some really nice players slid to those 21 and 22 spots.
