better sooner rather than later.

I see it differently. If the plan is to reload the C's are not going to want 4-5 roster spots taken by 1st and 2nd year guys that are developing. They would rather have 1 guy ready to contribute and a bunch of veterans for depth to rely on.

Lucas- glad u spoke with Doc but I don't think we learned anything here today. He's obviously giddy and excited. His child is about to be a lottery pick in the NBA. Do you know how freakin proud he must be?? That's gotta be the most satisfying feeling for a father. ****, my daughter rolls over and I feel proud.

Lol I was thinking too, maybe he's giddy because he's the only coach with a son in the NBA LOL. basketball family.

Anybody remember why Jeremiah never came out?

He was in last year's draft. Went undrafted

Yeah sorry, I meant why he never got picked. Lol

Throw in Avery+ both picks and we could probably go top 5, I can't see any lottery teams other than GSW or SAC wanting Pierce or really needing him at the moment.

Bradley goes no where until he signs a new contract. That's the truth.

What's up with these ridiculous sell the farm scenarios.

I would love for the Cs to move up to number 2 to flip that pick for James Harden. That would be a great move by the Cs

What scares me the most out of this, is that if KG is leaning toward retirement, Pierce is GONE!!! He's out of the door, mark my words.. I dunno bout Rondo, but that game 7 against the Heat was the last time we saw PP in green.(again if KG is leaning toward retirement)

edit: as much as ppl think PP is not worth the 7 th pick-- he is! PP + 22nd + a top 10 protected pick will get it done. PP will bring a winning culture to the Warriors and he will turn them into a lottery team, plus they can clear cap and sign another guy in 2 years..

PP leaving would be a tragedy - one of the greatest Celts of all time. Played all but 4 playoff games on 1 leg, & gave us 19 ppg (albeit inefficiently). He has at least 2 excellent years left in him.

I believe that Frank ran into Doc. I have no idea what he is giddy about.

When people throw out Pierce to GSW scenarios, they have to remember that Golden St. needs to send salary back, and the only disposable contracts of ample size are Biedrins and Jefferson, both pretty toxic.

Bradley doesn't need to go. Pierce would be enough, but they can technically shake hands on a trade as I proposed, just can't happen till you suggested.
Doesn't mean it can't happen though right?

I'm Giddy over the fact that it draft night and this kicks off the start of the new season. I can't wait to see the mood of everyone come tomorrow.

I actually think it time for Paul Pierce to move on. GS at #7 is what I've been think about since the end of the Cs season. Jerry West came out the other day saying that they want a player who is ready to play right now. They don't want to wait on anyone, they want proven players. That to me is Jerry West telling everyone #7 can be had for a current NBA player.

I don't think KG will be back so I feel that Paul Pierce can be traded and should be traded.

100 % Agreed, my favorite player, EVER! Problem is, Danny spoke to KG, and the rumors that Danny might be trying to move up could be connected to news that KG could be retiring and Danny is just obligated to try and trade PP for a lotto pick.

Frank Lucas may be lying or he may be telling the truth. I'm not going to judge.

It should be an interesting night. I have a feeling we are going to be involved in a trade. Part of me wants to hang on to picks 21 and 22, but I feel the Celtics will look be moving those picks to move up. There is a player Ainge likes between 8-12 that we wants to draft or else he wouldn't be moving up. That player could be Austin Rivers, Meyers Leonard, or Tyler Zeller.

If the above happens, I think the Celtics will try to make another trade to get back into the late 1st round. I'm hoping that pick would be Draymond Green or Quicy Miller, but it might be Jared Cunningham. We shall see. Get Excited. Go Boston Celtics!

Lots of happenings going on here. Not saying I don't believe this person or that person about the insider information but when I hear this nothing usually happens. Of of course that may change tonight.

Here is what I think: Ainge already knows KG is going to retire. That makes the direction of this team clear: It is time to rebuild. I am not saying PP will be traded but I believe Ainge will be doing what he can to try. Love PP but at 35 (like any player) his best days are behind him. There is zero reason to keep PP on this team while they rebuild.

Meyers Leonard and Tyler Zeller are not guys I would trade up to get. I'm sorry but I don't project all-star NBA players when I think of those two.

GS not trading for Pierce.

West has been very explicit that they want to add ready-to-play guys that still have 10 years in them. That is true of the other SFs they have been trying to deal for, but not Pierce.

They will try to trade up to 5 if MKG is still around, but barring that and if no one they like is available at 7 (such as Drummond), they will likely trade down. Zeller is another guy they like. If he were available at 14, could see them sending 7/Wright for 14/Zeller.
