The Waiters BS is a smokescreen. This is how it works.

Step 1 - Teams hear that Waiters has a lottery promise.
Step 2 - Rumors fly that it was either TOR or PHX.
Step 3 - GSW blows smoke about drafting Waiters to TOR (or PHX) will call to offer to move up.
Step 4 - POR blows smoke because GSW blew smoke about drafting Waiters to TOR (or PHX) will call to offer to move up.
Step 5 - CLE blows smoke because POR blew smoke because GSW blew smoke about drafting Waiters to TOR (or PHX) will call to offer to move up.

I really hope we take Lamb or even Ross (despite not working out for us) if they are at 13. I really don't want Marshall.

If all the shooting guards are gone at 13, I hope they do flip the pick to Boston for 21&22 and take the two best players available.

If we DO take Marshall, we must have a plan to go after a shooting guard in free agency. I'd take Brandon Rush over Mayo or Crawford..much better shooter and probably cheaper too.

A true top shelf court-general, pass-first PG is a rarity, and anyone can learn to shoot if they want to. Marshall has a great attitude - love to see him mentored by Nash. Agree re: Brandon Rush. he's the kind of bargain a team in our position has to look for, so we can spend the money somewhere else

If the suns trade their lottery pick for both of the celtics 1st round picks, then pick Quincy Miller and Tony Wrotten in the draft, then let Steve Nash walk, go into tank mode for Zeller, Noel, or Bazz, and trade Gortrat somewhere now or near the deadline would you guys be happy with that?

I don't dislike Marshall as much as many here, but I would MUCH rather get Lamb or Ross. I'd rather trade down and hope he was there at 21 and get another guy along with him, or even Wroten or Teague, who, in some ways will be better than Marshall.

I wouldn't be terribly unhappy. I'm probably higher on Wroten and Miller than most. I've read that Wroten has top 5 talent and is kind of similar to when Rondo came out...GREAT passer, horrible shooter and a little reckless. Miller obviously would be top 10 without ACL injury and with our training staff I think they could both REALLY be players in the future.

Add another star in next year's draft and whatever we could get for Gortat that could be an exciting young team.

I'm ok with that. In the NBA you should either Rebuild or Contend. Right now we are unable to contend so we need to rebuild.

If Lamb falls to us, we have to take him. The kid is very talented, long, and full of promise and we would be dumb to pass him up.

His game is very natural and effortless, his shot, his movement, nothing looks forced, all natural.

I'm concerned by Marshall's defense. Sure he can pass, but will his shooting and defense make him a perennial backup?

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress

Sources say Minnesota offered Derrick Williams to Charlotte in exchange for the #2 pick. Bobcats quickly rejected.

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress

Derrick Williams has been shopped to different NBA teams dating back to the trade deadline. Asking price way too high according to teams.

Legion Sports ‏@MySportsLegion
T-Wolves extended the same offer to the Warriors. Derrick Williams for the 7th overall pick, Warriors declined. #NBADraft

It was really bad pick for the T-Wolves. With Love as their starting PF Williams will never get enough playing time to show his abilities and his trade value will drop even more.

Dd anyone see the new update today at nbadraft.net? Says we're drafting Leonard? .... :( I hope lamb and Ross fall to us. I don't want rivers. As for Marshall, if he falls to us, I'd trade down to get him

NBAdraft.net are useless, the have no sources at all. DraftExpress and Chad Ford are much more reliable.

Nbadraft.net isn't useless, they are actually relatively accurate with picks, they do however put in order of best player available not best for the team, but with this draft being weak and most teams needing upgrades everywhere don't be surprised if most teams take the best player available.

What happened to all of our insider posters (IHG, TRAXX, etc.)? I miss their info around this time.

This is pretty funny....

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress
I can only imagine the conversation an owner will have with their GM in two-three years if Dion Waiters ends up being a bust..

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress
"So you took a 6-3 SG 6th man who everyone had in the 20s in May in the top-10 despite no workout, physical or interview? You did that why?"

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress
"But, a front office with a history of bad decisions promised him at the end of the lottery! I figured they HAVE to know something we don't"

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress
If he was some kind of long-armed athletic freak with a superb attitude and intangibles, I could maybe understand. But of course he's not...

Suns just need to take Lamb. If not move back in the draft. Let's get some young talent on this roster.

Wroten is an absolute stud with no shot. Reminds me of Tyreke Evans. Evans is a little longer but Wroten has an edge in athleticism. I have no idea what position he would end up playing in the association, but he will be productive one way or another. Plus he is only 19, he can better his shoot.

As for Miller, I think I would rather take a chance on PJ3 but as many have said Miller could be the better pro. Also, I would look at a guy like Doron Lamb. Undersized 2 with a wet shot but possibly too small to guard other teams 2's . That kind of back court could pair well together. Not sure if either would ever be an all-star but both could put up 15+ PPG.

Am I the only one that saw the Baylor/Kentucky game in the tournament, I thought PJ3 actually played better than Anthony Davis so he has potential but like others have said he also could be Earl Clark 2.0
