I think Okur would be one of the best options for this team at this point. He would be the ideal C for this team because he operates from outside on offense. He's not much defensively, but he at least is a big body to man up opposing centers which allows Josh and Al free to defend better players or provide help. He would also be a great pick-n-pop option. Not sure what his asking price would be, but if it's around the MLE I would be for it.

Yay, more slumming in the garbage bin. It's my opinion that the vet min bench mob only had as much impact as it did because of the peculiarities of the shortened season. In a normal regular season without B2B2Bs or 9 games in 12 nights every two weeks their impact might be greatly lessened. We already saw signs of it in the playoffs where they were a complete non-factor outside of 5 minutes total playing in the same roles they had in the regular season. We are going to have to find a stud in the draft and find someone who really explodes rather than relying on TMac's knees or pretending that Collins can play.

I REALLY like Jason Thompson, backup Center for Sacramento. he had some monster games against, Miami/BOS this year. And even had a productive game against us.

I also like JJ Hickson as backup PF and replacement for Josh Smith.

These are type of guys that should targeted but the cap situation is just so frustrating.

You hope Collins comes back?

edit: slumming in the garbage bins lol sad but true

Teague-Johnson-Smith-Horford-Pachulia (WLOC)
Hinrich-Gee-Marvin-Ivan-Fab Melo

Reserves: from the slums - Al Thornton anyone? Undrafted guys; Dampier if he's not fat and stays ready (not fat).

the bench backcourt is up for debate if you could grab Kidd for $3M and 2 years that'd be great. But the lux would be threatening as

i was reading alot of Dallas fans post about Damp and they all say that Damp has a problem in fumbling passes. Damp played good in the playoffs, but he did fumble alot of passes. i think him and Kwame have the same problems. if Kwame is willing to take a TMac type of deal, then i would rather have Kwame.

i would like to add one athletic 3pt shooter, because the Hawks like to shoot threes in transitions , maybe Mo Evans, Pietrus, or Roger Mason

well Kwame is from Georgia iirc but he got $7mil last year. McGrady made $1.3M

neither Roger Mason and is Mo Evans are athletic and lack defensively. I'd love Alonzo Gee. Or Pietrus.

that is not bad, but this isn't much better than what we always put out on the court. what we need is a real starting center. Kaman

Work Brandon Roy out along with Al Thornton. Trade a future 2 for Tony Douglas. Just some moved (realistic or not) I would like to see.

I thought Toney Douglas had solid value and was going to be their starting point guard before Baron was brought in and then Lin?

I think Roy can pick or choose where he realistically wants to go.

Toney can't shoot and can't play point, Shump had replaced him before Baron and Lin even arrived. Can defend though but size slates him right at PG.

Roy would be this year's TMac.
