Nothing says "I just want to win a championship" like refusing to be traded to OKC, LA, or Chicago and only wanting to play for the Nets.

Magic extend qualifying offer to Ryan Anderson. Clark declines option will become UFA.

No, just no. The Nets will be a second class citizen in it's own state. The Knicks will always be #1.

Even if that's all we do, I'll still be excited because we're under a new vision.

The Nets suck now, but if Dwight goes there with Deron he has a better chance of winning a championship than what he does now.

Very interesting. Whatever Dwight wants to do is his business but his agent has not helped one bit protect his likable image. He should fire him just based on that.

Based on the information that came out around last trade deadline, Fegan's only interet is in getting him to Brooklyn. If he continues to beat that drum, it doesn't surprise me Dwight might be fed up with him. He can surely see what a mess Fegan has made of managing what was, until last year, a stellar public image.

Nets gear sold out in hours when it went on sale. Brooklyn and Queens are both the largest boroughs in NYC, by far.

My NY family has told me Knicks fans are jumping ship like its the titanic dude. If Dwight goes to the Nets they will be HUGE.

I don't really understand what there is to deny here. A brand new team in Brooklyn (the most populous borough), in a state of the art arena, with a badass logo (hate to say it), with 2 of the biggest stars in the NBA, in maybe the most basketball crazed city in the world.

You're right. They won't be popular.

I have a feeling that Dwight's "inner circle" (read: hangers on) will benefit more from him being in Brooklyn than Dwight would.

having lived in New York from very young until my early teens i can say that the Nets will NEVER be in the same tier as the Knicks...NY is a baseball town anyway.....
Yankees
Knicks
Mets

if you want to add the football teams then after that the Nets are an afterthought imo.....i could be wrong though

If you've ever lived in the New York Metro area, you would know that this will never, ever happen. It just won't. If they work really hard, the Nets may be able to outdraw the NY Islanders, but that is far from a sure thing.

Were the Nets ever located in Brooklyn with two superstars when you lived there?

Times are changing fellas. I'm Puerto Rican so obviously I have a lot of family members in NYC and have been there around 10-15 times, I know the NEW JERSEY NETS were not very popular.

I don't get why you guys are arguing with me. I'm just explaining why Dwight would want to go to Brooklyn. If it wasn't for the fame and marketability, what is it?

Actually... I should have rephrased that.

Dwight wants to win a Championship without going the Lebron route.. aka, joining another Star's city. He wants to be the Big Star. In OKC, he'd be doing what Lebron did.

Besides, Rose made it clear in the media that he likes his own teammates. ...and Kobe told him that he'd have to play 3rd fiddle to him and Gasol. LOL.
