I wouldn't include a future first. Who knows what pick that could be with how bad this franchise is. Do you really think Drummond or Barnes (or whoever we take at 5) is going to be a franchise saver? Because if not, we could very likely be giving up two lottery picks and potentially a very high one.

Sounds like it was Lowry/12 and at least one of their other firsts this year. So essentially, Lowry, lottery pick and at least one additional first.

If that deal is dead, Hammond absolutely should be calling and offering Ellis/14/future first (lotto protected) and be prepared to swap out Ellis for Jennings. I'd take back a contract too like Garcia to make it more worth their while. These are the Kings so it's at least worth the call.

Well if you think Barnes can become a legit star player (like minimum Paul Pierce) then I guess the move is worth it. I think he has that talent, but I don't think the odds of him being that good are high enough for me to make that deal.

Even if he does eventually become that good, the team itself might not be that good in two years and we are forfeiting what could still be a very good lottery pick for him and losing the ability to surround him with talent.
