Sorry, but I have to leave now and meet my sister for dinner. :x :x :x :x :x :x Have to DVR the draft. :x :x :x :x :x So I can't respond to any draft stuff until later tonight, that's if I even get a chance to go online. I have faith that Cho will make the right decisions.

In Cho we trust.

Trade 2 for 4 + 24
Trade 24 + 31 + Henderson for Rudy Gay
Draft Thor at 4

Starting lineup: Walker/Gordon/Gay/Thor/Biyombo

Talk about a lineup that could get us back to the playoffs. I think that lineup would seriously put us in that up and coming teams category...back-court might need some work with Walk and Gordon (very similar players) but it would be a great start. Who know's what Memphis' interest would be in 24 +31 + Henderson, but I would do it...if I had the power. haha.

Terrible idea, that lineup could sneak us into the playoffs next season and hurt our future draft positioning, talk about a panic move!

I don't buy that. It would be a fringe playoff team, but that's not always bad. It's how we get there that matters. Looking at this team, can you honestly say you don't see it having potential to be a better than 8 seed team? You have Gay who is your 1. You have Gordon as your 2. Thor and walker as your 3's and Biyombo as your defensive force in the middle. Gay is more of a slasher, Gordon is a shooter. I just like the different elements there. We'll see though.

Some reporters who were dead set against us making a move yesterday are now starting to say we are open for business and think a trade will happen. Should be interesting.

yes, playoffs next year = not good for long term of franchise. I think honestly Cho is going to pick beal in order to have an imbalanced roster, so we have talent, but still suck next year. Get more assets.

We'll start Kemba, Gordon, Beal, Jamison (2 year deal), and Biz. That should be good for a top 5 pick next year since Beal is out of position. In the next offseason, we trade Gordon's expiring for more picks, and start Beal at the 2.

That team misses the playoffs. Robinson does not provide the inside scoring we need. Better off to trade out of 4 and go back for someone else.

Under that theory will we have traded Hendo?

He'd presumably be our sixth man. I wouldn't trade a young stud like Hendo just because Ben Gordon was traded here.

I feel like Ben Gordon is going to have a similar exit as Corey Maggette on draft week next year.

Forgot about him... he starts too! Forget signing Jamison, Hendo at the 4!

Sam Amick at SI says in his latest update that CLT conversations are with Cleveland, Portland and Houston. All have multiple picks to potentially offer; obviously no one knows what the final mix could be.

Assuming nobody will take Tyrus, and Cleveland is not an option, would you trade with either Portland (6 & 11) or Houston (12, 16, 18) for their full deck of 1st round picks? We obviously do not get any of the 2nd tier players we've been looking at, but how far back in talent are the other guys?

I would contend that there is a clear gap between the 2-5 options and the 6 thru 12 folks. Smallish gap from there to 13-18, then a larger gap to the rest of the 1st round.

I'm guessing Portland is refusing one of their picks maybe they are willing to give 6 but not 11, we'll see how that goes when the actual clock draws near. I wouldn't do the Houston deal unless Cho in turn flips all of those picks to get us back into the Top 10. If we take the Portland deal and the Kings take T-Rob, I wonder who we would draft at 6?

Andy Katz just said on ESPN that sources assume that it's Cleveland who we are getting closer with, but they're not certain.

If Portand is not offering BOTH 6 and 11, they should not even be being considered. So I have to think it is both 6 and 11 if not something more. I'm just curious about the Houston talk since I thought they were in talks with Sac for #5. That is a strange one to me. But for what they are offering to come up to #5, gotta think it is even better to come up to #2.

Maybe we are just waiting to be sure it is the best deal before pulling the trigger, which makes sense.

In a 3 way trade if we end up with 6, 16 and 18 or 11, 16, 18 etc that would be awesome! In fact I would not complain at all even if were 11 on down in the teen picks.

I personally want no part of Varejao. He's owed more money than TT and the guy is half a decade older. Looking at what TT was doing two years ago and Varejao's recent injury issues, I don't see it being a huge upgrade.

Now, Cleveland getting Thomas and Houston getting Varejao? Awesome.
