Chi Obama Mamas (40-35) @ Yanks (46-28): are they for real
Yanks record looks good being 18 games over .500 and basic offensive/pitching numbers look healthy as ranked against the rest of the league....but do you believe the Yankees are contenders?
Shotty defense and offense bailed out by great situational pitching but nothing that would intimidate the Rangers.
While the White Sox aren't nearly as sophisticated with Strike out machine Adam Dumb and Kevin Youkalis' unorthodox methods and ailing legs...they are in first place for now.
Yet, did anyone see the Cards winning the World Series last season? That has every one thinking its anyone's game....
Match ups...
Axelrod vs Nova: battle of the near 5 ERA? Nova should deliver his 10th against impatient hitting.
Quintana vs Warren: till Cash brings back Sergio Mitre, the kid gets a call up.
Peavy vs Kuroda: intriguing match up but one that rarely delivers but Kuroda is the ace for a couple weeks.
Floyd vs Hughes: might be the swing game. Hughes must step up as the #2.
Let's go Yanks!!!!

Great night at the stadium. Nova missed a lot of his spots but this is a critical part of pitching how to go ahead in the count and force mistakes. (something I wished CC would do)
Hard to believe despite an incredible June 1.37 ERA, Nova still has 4+ ERA.
Since Soriano can't go due to "overuse" Girardi is going with the Expansion draft all stars. And hope to save Robertson...
Teixiera gets the insurance run and Jetes gets a hit.
Edit: nice throw Rapata. Robertson in.

Great job by Rapada to throw a tailer made double play ball into the outfield.

Not his fault Rapata rushed his throw. Otherwise it was the right call.

it's his fault for putting bambi in the game. It's his fault for over using Soriano. It's his fault that he left Wade in a game to give up 4 runs and forced Soriano to come into a game that the YANKEES LEAD 6-0 IN THE TOP OF THE 9TH.
JOE IS A F'ING TOOL AND A MORON.

How is it Girardi's fault? Soriano is unavailable. He wanted to AVOID using Robertson who I believe hasn't been right since the injury.
There's your difference between Mo and Soriano. Fortunately Soriano never had Torre as a manager when Mo had to set himself up in mid 2000s.
Again, right pitch...got the double play but poor throw. Not the first time a pitcher has pooched it.
NOW, if I had a problem with Joe, it was PH Andruw Jones. Jones is a shell of his former self. Not at all a good match up for Reed Addison, whom I have seen in minor league games. That's a heckuva kid.

Ok lets look at the whole aspect.
Clueless Joe burns out Soriano using him in back to back to back to back games all of the time. This also included a game where the Yankees Lead 6-0 going into the 9th and clueless Joe 2.0 leaves Wade in about several batters too long instead of getting someone else. Score becomes 6-4 and he has to go to Soriano.
Then clueless joe is adamant about not using DRob so he puts in rookies to close a game against the White Sox. This includes Clueless Joe 2.0 getting cute and going with the matchups which he gets BURNED ON all of the time. Then once several runners are on base with NO OUTS due to a fact that a stupid f'ing rookie who should be sent down throws the ball into the outfield. What does Clueless Joe 2.0 do? He goes to D Rob to give up a homerun. We all knew it was f'ing coming after **** Rapada blew it.
That is why Clueless Joe 2.0 is a knucklehead. He goes to the one pitcher he didn't want to use to finish the game while burning out 2 other relievers. He should have either started D Rob to start the 9th or not used him at all. I would have understood alot better if he wanted Rob to get the rest. Joe is a mother f'ing moron who needs to get fired.

4-0 lead and Warren is crapping the bed. Back to rookie ball you scrub. Way to blow your opportunity of a lifetime.

6-4 now as Clueless Joe leaves the kid in the game. God this guy is an idiot for a manager. Send the kid to A ball and send Clueless Joe 2.0 packing.

Kuroda gets it done. Robertson puts up a zero. Soriano, while not completely back (remember he refused setting himself up from Maddon and also didn't like doing back to back saves so he's nitpicky) came out for .2 outs...

Hughes goes 8, ties CC & Nova for team lead in wins, and lowers ERA to 4.29. Does that mean, he's over his problems? No!
I seriously don't feel confident that this rotation is good enough to get the Yanks to the WS. Never mind the power outage of Alex Rodriguez means this team needs to manufacture runs when its settling for long ball.
Hopefully it won't bite Yanks in the ass.

Hughes was a beast today, when he has his fastball and curve going, he is nasty...
