Here's an option - forget Lowry, sign Dragic

What if we go after Dragic in FA instead of all this Lowry nonsense? I would be on board with that as he would be a dream to pair with the bigs we have now.

Sounds good to me. it would make a huge difference for our team offensively. but he is just ok defensively im not sure that we shouldn't be targeting a lock down defendeat pg we really need to prevent a ton of penetration as we won't have anyone that guards the pick and roll very well and we won't have a rim protector either.r

Word is the Rockets already have a deal in place for Dragic, which would explain why they feel comfortable trading Lowry.

Bingo. This and Lowry has more veteran experience and is the better defender.

I agree, I'd much rather have Lowry anyway.

Batum is restricted, didn't show nearly the results that Dragic did when starting, yet all you guys are gaga for him.

So elaine why not go for Dragic and stop the Lowry nonsense since he should be a low sell if the rumors are true.

Dude, it's already been explained. Houston has a deal in place to re-sign him.

That and other people here prefer Lowry as a player. It's pretty simple.

Lowry and McHale have beef. It's one or the other. The organization is siding with McHale because Dragic is a starter-caliber player in this league. And like people said, it's a foregone conclusion that Houston is retaining Dragic. This shouldn't be a topic. And to also get on the record for this issue, Lowry>Dragic.

I like Dragic, but we have a similar player in IT. To be fair, Dragic is a better distributor. Given that we just drafted T-Rob, it would probably be prudent to get a better defensive PG. We can't expect that DMC will get all charge calls to go his way, especially now that the league wants to limit the flopping.

My two cents...

Tyreke for S&T Batum
Sign Dragic

Dragic
Thornton
Batum
Robinson
Cousins

That's a nice young core to go forward. It's also pretty balanced regarding offense, defense, rebounding, and length. What do you think?

As starters last year:
Dragic-: 18.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 8.4 apg in 36.5 mpg
Lowry--: 15.9 ppg,5.3 rpg, 7.2 apg in 35.4 mpg
Thomas: 14.8 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 5.4 apg in 31.6 mpg

As far as defense, I'm not sure how much impact Lowry is having, even if he is a better defender. He had a DRTG of 104 vs. Dragic's 106 (and Thomas's 113, but that's obviously not a fair comparison on a different team).
