What was the most common complaint about the Cavs last year--inability to create shots and finish plays. That's all this guy does. Drummond couldn't consistently score in the same league and has questionable motivation, plus he's redundant with Thompson. Arguing for him over Waiters just doesn't make sense to me.
The Zeller deal is interesting. I like the concept of getting quality over quantity but not sure Zeller is the right guy. Like it more for Dallas, they need lots of young bodies.
C'mon Ice, you cant really say TT and Drummond would be redundant. Sure neither can shoot FT's, but Drummond is much bigger and plays a different position. Plus, his ceiling is much, much higher. I know they score in much the same way, but how many times did TT get his shot stuffed in his face because he lacked the strength to throw it down on somebody? Too many times to count. I doubt that happens anywhere as much with Drummond.
Comparing Drummond with Waiters makes sense, both players were there. Keep in mind I have been on record as saying I didnt want Drummond at 4, but I could understand the team taking that chance. To me Waiters seems like a dime a dozen volume scoring SG. I hope he proves me wrong though.
