Overreacting on here is ridiculous

Post#1 » by WadeInTheWater » Fri Jun 29, 2012 4:25 am

You know I was going to comment tonight on the draft thread but as soon as i found out we traded the #27 i said 'meh it's not worth it' because all you'll get is pages and pages of whining, bitching and complaining.

I mean it's not like we're world champions is it? Can people not see that Pat is going all in for FA? Hmmm i wonder what happened the last time he did that?

I wonder what the ones who complained tonight will be saying when the great Patrick James Riley makes us even more deeper and loaded this time round in FA come July 11.....

P.S For those that were committing suicide because Perry Jones went to OKC, he fell all the way to 28th, is red flagged and couldn't average over 15 PPG.

The truth is somewhere in between. I think it was a mistake not to take Moultrie or PJ3, but it obviously doesn't ruin our team or anything.

Let's hope for a big splash in free agency.

hope? you obviously don't know who Pat Riley is brother. The guy doesn't leave things down to chance or hope. You can GUARANTEE there will be big pieces added in FA.

He knew a year before hand that he could get Wade, Bron and Bosh on the same page and he knew when the season ended who he will get in FA.

Considering how mediocre the Sixers are, that first round pick will be pretty good for a contender. :D

Pieces? We don't have the cap room for that. We'll probably get one high impact FA like Ray Allen or maybe Kaman(hopefully). Only other way we snag another FA is the injury exception we get if Miller retires.

We'll get Ray and others that have been paid well in their careers to take small cash who'll die to play with the 3 of the best in the league for another ring.

Rule number 1 as a Heat fan: NEVER question Pat Riley.

I don't question Riles, but this seems a bit much. We don't have any money, which its why we probably traded the pick. He may get us a solid aging vet or two, but Theres only so much that can be done with the mini and minimum contracts.

Its not like we need anything, though Ray would be nice.

Honestly, with his track record, rule # 2 states that if you find yourself questioning Pat refer to rule # 1.

The greatest shooter EVER when he gets healthy over the summer is an upgrade over pretty much any other role player we have, i'll take that and other FA who will make our rotation deeper and stronger.

Not sure if people comprehend just how good this Heat team could be with a guy like Ray Allen left WIDE open 90% of the time thanks to Wade and James getting double teamed. Then you add just one decent FA Center who is experienced and this team is scary good.

I can guarantee with 100% confidence that the people complaining on here are
1. bandwagoners
2. under the age of 15
3. don't know jack sh** about basketball

you seriously gonna come on here and complain that we didnt get PJ3? a 6'11 PF that plays with NO POWER. lackadaisical on the court, has a mediocre jumpshot, cant rebound, cant defend, very low motor AND to boot he has a knee issue. i trust the professionals, they do their homework, they research these players big time. what we wanted in the draft, we couldnt get. trading that weak pick to philly for probably a great pick down the line and the assurance that we dont have a guaranteed contract was for the best. how many of you guys have even seen PJ3 play? the guy is a worse version of anthony randolph.

Pittman, Howard, Joel, Haslem, Miller, James Jones, Cole rarely play 2...lets not act like people on the Roster really actually play...they run around for about 8 mins and get subbed out...you telling me the 27th pick can't just run around for 8 mins. Cole even ran around for 8 mins.

That Philly pick is gonna be traded.

Perry Jones can Dunk and shoot...that's all I really care about

Arnette Moultrie can dunk and shoot and rebound...that's all I really care about.

I just wanted a Haslem replacement... 6'11...can dunk and shoot...

Those 2 are already the 7th best on the roster

Truth is with James, Wade, and Bosh at the helm no late first round talent is going to make or break them repeating.

Its all going to come through free agency. That is the path the Miami Heat have chosen. And might I add it is a proven technique.
Enjoy every sandwich.

I can personally say, I HAVE HUGE confidence what Riley is doing. After watching that video, that guy just reminded me of Dirk lol.

I actually think that trade was a good idea. We'll get someone way better than we were going to get. We don't need youth right now, we need someone who can contribute while we've got DWade still in his prime. As his age really starts catching up to him, we start looking more towards the future and drafting someone good that we couldn't afford in FA. Our 27th pick sure as hell wasn't going to be that.

I guarantee in 2-3 years people are going to be really pumped the Heat's going to draft someone pretty awesome and not whatever scraps fall our way.

No wonder we picked him.

HE CAN SHOOT 3'S AT 7 FEET TALL

he doesn't look bad to be honest.

But do I expect him to actually play next year? **** no. There's no room in the rotation assuming Spo keeps everything as is.

I actually like him though.... very nice shooter. He's versatile. When I heard about this I'm like... WHHHAAATTT? Pat said he was like Doleac. Well, Doleac got a ring while playing like 1-2 minutes per game in 06  we'll see what happens.

Return to Miami Heat
