If you have a sufficiently large sample size of playoff games, then you could make that argument. Trying to draw conclusions from four games against the top-seeded team in the playoffs seems foolish to me.

So if you don't know everything, then you can't know anything. In most cases, that is simply not true.

Basketball is a game of adjustments, which is how teams can turn series aroung like OKC and Boston. Often their sample size is one to two games.

There is a lot of information that the Jazz can evaluate and improve from, based on the San Antonio series.

It seems like if you're disagreeing with HappyProle then you're disagreeing with a basic law of staistical analysis? The insufficiency of a small sample size is a statistical fact.

I typed all of that and the only thing you guys focus on is the playoff statement? All my conclusions are drawn from his two regular seasons and I just mentioned his playoff performance as icing on the cake to show he's not offensively ready to be a key piece on a team with playoff aspirations.

AND you say troll but besides that stupid kanter bet that i didn't wanna do, when have I been wrong? I can name many time most of you guys been wrong, lets start with Kawi Leonard and Brandon Knight not looking like bust or Biyombo easily not being hasheem thabeet.

And Kanter's shooting was aweful and was headed towards the low 40's a little after allstar break (he was in the 38- 42 range the first month of the year) until Corbin reduced his minutes, shooting oppurtunties and played him more versus the bench players. Almost any other team wouldve kept him on the bench if he shot like that considering all the wide open and easy shots he got and you all know it. He sucked but I never said nothing because it sounds like I'm hating due to the bet but its true.

Actually there are enough events in a game to have relevance. Not saying that one can forecast a players efficiancy over an entire season, but it can certainly yield volumes for the next game in a series.

I disagree with the notion that if a sample size is small that it has zero value. As I said before, playoffs are a special case, and CAN be used to forecast some elements of future performances in playoff games.

No one said that he was, necessarily. Only that we need more of him and less of Big Al. Al Jefferson is not ready to be a key piece on a team with playoff aspirations.

You've been wrong plenty. We just like to point out the most obvious cases. Also, Brandon Knight, if he plays the way he did this year, will not make it to the end of his rookie contract. There is still a great chance he busts. And Biyombo was exactly what everyone expected him to be.

As for Leonard, I can't remember anyone bagging on him. I loved him and wished we would have taken him instead of Burks (though Singleton was my guy at 12).

And Kanter's shooting was aweful and was headed towards the low 40's a little after allstar break (he was in the 38- 42 range the first month of the year) until Corbin reduced his minutes, shooting oppurtunties and played him more versus the bench players. You just think you can twist reality with your mind, don't you?

Kanter's FG% at the end of each month was:

January: 46.1%
February: 46.1%
March: 47.3%

His mpg by month were:

January: 14.1
February: 14.5
March: 11.9
April: 12.1

Seriously, what goes on inside your head? I'm fascinated.

As a Sixer fan. And also knowing that all good players opt out of their contract to try and get an extension. Iggy will never play his last year and will want a long term deal after next year. If he makes your team better then of course resign him. Sort of the same for us with Jefferson. The Sixers need big men that can score and stuff up the middle. Brand and Hawes weren't exactly the answer for us last year. I see Jefferson for Iggy as a good deal for both. Sort of short term rentals for both. If it doesn't pan out.
