As old as he is Camby would provide solid help for this team for a good 15 minutes or so per game.

Also, with Bosh playing much more center we certainly need another PF. I'd take K-Mart for the minimum, no doubt. He can still contribute on both ends of the floor and he's still a solid shot blocker.

I rather just get Ray and call it a day.

Camby at this point can't do anything offensively.

Kenyon is small and already have Haslem, Kenyon is redundant.

Unless Jamal Crawford can come or Kaman can come, don't see anybody worth having after Ray.

And Ray is just to replace someone standing in the corner.

I'd take Ray, Camby, and K-Mart

Chalmers / Cole
Wade / Allen
LeBron / Battier
Haslem / Martin
Bosh / Camby

He still isn't ready to play.

I'd rather Oden sit in a suit than Curry

can always amnesty Miller and pay him his money and not have his salary against the cap.

I'm glad that I realised you were an annoying poster before the draft thread. :D

You read that Oden is taking 1 or 2 years off, you don't know that.

It has also been stated that he could play after all star break next season.

Whatever the case Oden on the roster is better than Curry.

I'd get him for the min now and start culturising him.

I'd push hard for Nash over Allen anyday.

Wade and Bron off the ball would be dynamite.

"I thought Greg might retire from basketball after Portland released him. That's not happening. Right now, his plan is to take off the entire 2012-13 season, move back to Columbus, take all the time he needs to rehab his knee back to full strength, and continue working toward the degree that he abandoned after one year at Ohio State. Once he feels ready, he plans to sign with an NBA team in 2013 and (hopefully) string together a few years of injury-free basketball. No NBA player has ever returned from three microfracture surgeries, so there's no denying that the odds are against him. But here's the good news: Even though his appearance would lead you to believe otherwise, he's only 24 years old. There's still enough time to salvage a decent NBA career and maybe even reach some of the potential that once seemed so limitless. Not that he's thinking about it that way, of course."

And he wants to play for the Pacers

So yeah Greg Oden isn't playing anytime soon, he just finished another operation.

is nonathletic your word of the day?

We have a "nonathletic" Dexter Pittman and a "nonathletic" Eddie Curry and we won a championship with them on the roster.

Oden, if he recovers, brings a no.1 pick talent to the bench, Hamilton is a no-lose second rounder.

WTF....

Greg Oden had 4 knee surgeries, Pittman and Curry have to go on Weight Watchers......Mike Miller looks like he needs a wheelchair after he plays.

What's the obsession with broken, fat and old players over the young ones who are able bodied and athletic?

So last I heard about the Odom/Mo Williams trade was that it fell through... being that today is apparently the deadline for Odom's buyout should we expect to know by tonight if he's on the market? Besides Ray I think he would be our most significant target. And with Bosh's move to C and Lebron's comments about not wanting to play PF full-time... I don't think we could find a better fit than a legitimate 6'11 guy who rebounds has quickness handles the ball etc. I think I would even want Odom before Ray if possible (assuming he's alright in the head and back in shape, of course). Any updates?

Tim Reynolds ‏@ByTimReynolds
AP: Chris Bosh removes name from Olympic mix as well to rest, rehab abdominal injury.

Also just thought i'd put this here... Although he might get crap for this. I like it. Full offseason of rest and recovery and working on his game. Wish we could get Lebron to stay home but I'm definitely happy Bosh and Wade will be ready for a title defense. 8-)

Is that all you want? Athleticism? Timmy D was never athletic but he's the greatest PF/C of all time

So far we seem to go in this direction :

Mario/Cole
Wade/Allen/Harris
Lebron/Battier/JJ
Haslem/Varnado
Bosh/Pittman/Turiaf/Joel

We'll probably send Justin Hamilton to work on his game for a year in europe. but cant tell for sure.
Anyway, As you can see Miller isn't in the rotation and the only real weakness is the starting PF. That's where Miller's disabled player exception could come handy - We reallly need to get Odom to come start at PF for us. Lamar would be the ideal final piece to our roster.

Only in case we can't get Odom (we all better pray the Clippers Deal doesn't get done) we turn to our backup plan : get Camby to start at Center and move Bosh back to start at PF.

Here's to Camby at C. Hope we get him and we invest in a fountain of youth or time machine for him, Haslem, Ray, and Shane.

Turiaf should pick up his player option. Love his energy.

Riley said he is not amnestying Miller. So the only other way we can spend money besides mini-MLE and the vet minimum is through that exception that RexBoyWonder brought up if Miller decides to retire (which would suck because the guy crashes the boards and has heart).

^ Miller doesn't need to retire. he'll get a year off so he could do the back surgery, rest, heal, and if he feels good enough he could come back next year.

Riley always like OJ Mayo perhaps he'll put in a cheeky min bid for him too now that he's an unrestricted FA.

PF is not a weakness when you have the best PF in the Nba on your team (Lebron) and then you have another top 5 PF in Bosh

Heat will put out a scrub C for the regular season, then come postseason you insert Bosh for some.
At the end of the day, heat switch a lot. Battier/Lebron/UD were guarding Centers during our playoff run

Team versatility
Stop being so disrespectful.
