Are the Clippers actually pretty scary next season?

Chris Paul/Eric Bledsoe

Caron Butler/Lamar Odom
Blake Griffin
DeAndre Jordan

Probably re-sign Chauncey Billups and Kenyon Martin too

Thank God they are in the west. i hope the west is just stock-piled with great teams so that it's a war to even get to the finals every season. that will give the Heat an advantage. I think OKC having to go against Dallas-LAL-Spurs hurt them a little

Clippers with a mentally right Odom is scary. Another guy who can handle the ball, make plays, and rebound. They would be a tough out in the west. Heat would still beat them though.

We don't really have to worry until they come out of the West and we come out of the East.....

but they seem decent.

Isn't Nick Young going to stay with them too?

I think think they're all scared of this Miami team, the defending NBA Champions, with a healthy Wade and a healthy Bosh. If we get Ray Allen, we're going to give some teams problems.

Personally I don't think clippers make it past OKC unless Blake Griffen makes some serious progress this offseason.

I'm not scared of any team in the West, there's no point in worrying about a team when there's a very good chance we don't even end up playing them in the playoffs.

Nobody plays defense. I'm not worried, but they will be a regular season juggernaut

Even if they start to play some good D, it's nothing like the East D.

and their coach is Vinny Del Negro.

Their defense is putrid, which is why the Spurs humiliated them. I don't see how adding Odom will change that.

As long as the coach isnt Greg Pop or Rick Carlisle coaching the team out west...Im not worried about them.

Unless they can beat OKC, they're irrelevant to us.

Um.. they will be a second round exit team till CP3 declines. Odom doesn't change anything.

Till then, a healthy Grizzlies team, the Spurs, and OKC are the only threats. Lakers are a threat too, but they have to make some moves to be better than OKC/Spurs.

I don't get how adding Odom makes them so much better. There still the same team from last year. Now if they go on and add someone like Ray or OJ, thats a different story. But just adding odom doesn't change a thing, there still the same team.

That team is full of flaws especially on defense. The Thunders and Lakers are still better.

lol Watching Deandre and Blake to some extent try to score in the post without open dunks is a hilarious event.

Let West teams build themselves all they want. If they don't build their defenses to stop us, we're fine.

I've been thinking about it, and I came to the conclusion that we've got the best of both worlds. We've got a defense that can stand with the best in the East. Even with Bosh at center, we defend the paint exceptionally well. Our regular season DRTG (which was 4th) isn't indicative of our playoff performance. Our closeouts and man pressure are on a whole 'nother level in the playoffs from the regular season.

Top that off with the fact that our offense that hangs with the best in the West. We can score with the best of them, and we can defend with the best of them. With Wade coming off knee surgery, he should have his explosiveness back. Imagine regular playoff Wade with the new playoff Bron. That **** cray.... Let's not forget that healthy Wade not only eats defenses alive like Westbrook was doing to us, but his defense is also lockdown quality. We were missing him on both ends of the court. I think that gets overlooked with Bosh being injured.

We won a ring with 2 of our Big3 hobbled. Let that **** sink in for a second.

We're adding an NBA-ready Pittman now, and hopefully either Nash's or Ray's shooting. Yeah...I ain't even worried. If Justin Hamilton pans out to be anything more than a stiff, we're in good position for a repeat. I know people were expecting us to pick an athletic big, but it's not like we've been lacking as a team. We just beat the best in the West, and the team everyone favors to repeat in the West in 5 games. Not 6, not 7, but 5 games. If Perry Jones supposed to give them a 6 game swing in the playoffs? I don't think so.

Bring your soldiers, 'cause we got army guns. We ready. PEACE.

The theory is that Odom will be more of himself because he's now back in LA where he and his wife are happy.

He can be rejuvenated or something.

But the Clippers right now are average... the Thunder would take care of them before we even get to see them in the Finals.
