Somewhere in the 9 point, 5-6 rebound, 1.5 steal range

So rebounding would translate for T-Rob but MKG will regress? Makes perfect sense.

Weren't you Beal's #1 fan last week?

Robinson probably won't get 12 per game in the NBA either

all of this is kind of meaningless if we're not at the same place minutes per game wise. my 12/6/2 1/.8 was based on him getting around 32 minutes per game. wouldnt surprise me if he got closer to 25mpg though, especially with Taylor seemingly being able to contribute right away, our interest in re-signing UPS, and having Gordon/Henderson/Reggie clogging up 2.

I really want to avoid making stat predictions until I know more about how Dunlap will play him. He'll get at least 12 points per 36 minutes just on transition, o-boards, etc. I doubt he gets 36 minutes though, so it's be more like 10 points.

I followed the Celtics during the early 2000s to their championship run and people forget how good Tony Allen could be. Tony Allen was already a proven lock down defender but people forget that he blew his knee out and tore both his ACL and MCL. Before that injury though, he was explosive, very athletic, and could drive at will to the basket. If MKG can be that version of Tony Allen and more, that would be scary for other teams.

I just want him to develop a jumper. If he does that with all of the other things he seems to bring to the table then I think we'll be in good shape.

i think too many people are equating bad/strange form on jumpshot to thinking the can't shoot at all. i think it was jmac who mentioned in the grade thread, that lots of players have had funky shots and still turned out to be decent shooters, simply due to repetition. gerald wallace and shawn marion have two of the ugliest looking shots i've ever seen and both those guys have developed decent 3pt range.

on the other hand, hendo has beautiful form on his jumper and is still a below average 3pt shooter.

he just needs to be able to knock down shots when the ball swings his way and he is open or when his defenders sag off him. judging by his 74% ft it shows he can consistently make shots when open. i would be much more concerned if he shot 50% from the line.

I just want to remind you guys, MKG is more than just a defender, he's a very good ball player, on both ends of the floor. He may not be the explosive player offensively the first year, but he will get his numbers even if we dont run plays for him.

I didn't know he was the fat, hairy, shirtless dude who likes to body people all day long

I'd need a mirror to see that.

MKG might go #4, his number in high school. #4 was retired at UK, so he went 14.

Same deal with UPS then... he's #4 and RFA, just like DJ. Honestly, they're just awaiting to assign him a number because they don't want him to switch after we let DJ walk.

In an article on Grantland http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/811 ... -nba-draft about how damned conservative the suit choices were among draftees this yr, nice to see our MKG singled out out for best sartorial savvy:

Even better was Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who made the best of being drafted to the Bobcats by wearing a silk knit tie, blue suit, tie bar, pink lapel, and a scalene pocket square. It was busy, but the accessories were at least affixed at the same latitude. The shoes were smoked-brown leather wingtips, and the TV cameras couldn't do them justice. Yes, Rivers is the son of the best-dressed coach in the league. But of this batch, I'd say Kidd-Gilchrist is the one whose clothes we should watch.

Maybe we dodged a bullet on Davis? First workout with Hornets and he has a severe ankle sprain.
