No, but I think he once met Frank Stallone.

i do regret darius miller, selected juist one pick ahead, an absolute steal. Johson-odom would've been a safer pick, like Papanikolau and O'quinn, but seems Murphy has more upside and the Jazz tried the "home run". As for Burks, i think the Jazz can explore using him at the point, maybe not in near future, but has enourmous potential as a scoring point guard.

The Jazz had scouted Murphy as early as 3 or 4 years ago, so, with his name still available, I don't think there was any other choice in the minds of the FO.

Because they scouted him so heavily, I'd be absolutely shocked if he DOESN'T make the team.

Past Utah #47's: Paul Millsap and Mo Williams. Lucky # for us?

Anyway, I wouldn't get to hyped up about his 50 point game, although the fact that he scored from just about everywhere on the court is encouraging. Like retiredcoach said, even though he did well at Portsmouth, he struggled as the level of competition increased in further workouts.

It's just impossible to say. If I were to guess, I'd say he becomes a valuable scoring rotation player in the league after several years, maybe off the bench or a borderline starter. Maybe he's Quincy Lewis or Mo Almond, maybe he's Marshon Brooks. I guess we'll see.

Let's bring back AK while we're at it. Then put a lineup out there of Millsap, AK, Murphy, Mo and Jeremy Evans with his 47" vertical.

This could definitely put us in position to winning an NBA title.

Think of the fruity picks he could set.

Yea but what did the workouts consist of?

Some Jazz fans got excited last year when they heard Jimmer was beasting in workouts including destroying kemba in one on one. Thats of course until we found out the workouts were taylored to jimmers strengths and Kemba was set up for failure with what was a long range shooting battle. Who you think was gonna win that one?

Ok.......back to Kevin Murphy...

Would he have gone undrafted if we didn't pick him up? If not, I'd expect him to make the team without too much trouble.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

Hope he doesn't get discouraged with our recent acquisitions. Hope to see his shooting on display in Orlando.
