We do have a few options to go after :

For outside shooting and backing up Wade : Ray Allen OR Jason Terry

For the PF spot : Rashard Lewis OR Kenyon Martin

For the Center spot : Marcus Camby Or Kenyon Martin OR trade for Dalembert using Philly draft pick.

I'd like us to get one of these guys for each positions : 1 Guard, 1 PF, 1 Center.
With thses 3 additions we'll have a much deeper balanced roster.

@daldridgetnt: Knicks, Heat, Pacers, Raptors & Suns expected to make their pitch to Steve Nash Sunday, per source. Not certain if all teams will be in NYC.

so you're telling me there's a chance!

I'd rather have ray-ray over nash. Nash means the ball gets taken out of wade's and james's hands

Well it's pretty realistic :

Allen or Terry for MiniMLE - could happen
Rashard Lewis or Camby for Vet Minimum - could happen
Kenyon Martin for Miller's disabled player exepetion 2.9Mil$ - could happen
Dalembert for Philly draft pick + Joel + JJ - could happen

We'll need some luck and we'll Need Pat to do his magic, but we could get 3 of these guys.

Seriously we don't need Nash. I actually don't want Nash on this team. It's not a good fit. I like Chalmers and Cole at that position.

Tell me in what planet would someone reject 9 million annually for a championship ring? The Raptors got him.

Do not want Steve Nash, go to Toronto.

If we don't sign Allen by monday it's over, he'll just get more money elsewhere.

Heat’s younger players will be focusing on the fundamentals of the Heat’s system in the Las Vegas summer league, which begins July 13. Rookie point guard Norris Cole and second-year center Dexter Pittman were robbed of the summer league last year because of the NBA lockout. Joining Cole and Pittman in Las Vegas will be former Mississippi State center Jarvis Varnado, who the Heat selected in the second round of the 2010 draft, as well as the team’s latest second-round selection, center Justin Hamilton of LSU.

Read more here: http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/06/30/2 ... html#moreb#storylink=cpy

This summer will be big for the young Miami Heat players in Coles, Pittman and Varnado. Jarvis Varnado a player we havent heard from but we all were intrigue with his defensive talents. This year could be a true chance for Varnado, and it could be evident by the Heat lack of commitment to this year draft pick. Riley is expecting big steps from the young big three. Juwan Howard has gotten his ring, and this team now winning its first title will not be looking for experience because now all have that experience.

If these three show true during this summer league, I would like for us add not an old vet but a young veteran wing. I would like for us to make a move for Jerryd Bayless.

I think some of you are forgetting how badly the Heat struggle on offense sometimes.

Lets get this guy instead. He's fine coming off the bench. How much do you think he wants?

Almost midnight. Riley better show up to Ray's house wearing a suit, sunglasses, and his 8 championship rings: one on each finger, saying "Are you in or are you out?"

Pat to Ray "Make 300 threes and win a championship this season. You in?" 8-)

Players who have expressed definite interest in us at one point or another: Jose Calderon, Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis, Jason Terry, Grant Hill, Steve Nash

Jose Calderon-do not want, homeless man's Steve Nash, unnecessary ball pounding, awful defense, would need to win the bidding because he will be amnestied. No thanks.

Ray Allen-GOAT shooter, good backup to Wade, would provide spacing, great FT shooter, only problem is he wants to start, Pat needs to convince him to be 6th man, would be a great addition off the bench

Rashard Lewis-character issues, big who could stretch the floor, versatile but hasn't seen regular playing time in a long time, needs to be in the right place mentally and in shape physically, need to see if his game has regressed

Jason Terry-better shot creator but worse shooter than Ray, used to coming off the bench and would bring energy, good addition if we can't convince Ray to be the 6th man

Grant Hill-really old, don't know if I'd trust him without the PHX medical staff, not a great shooter, good passer, I'd only want him for the minimum

Steve Nash-needs ball in his hands but a good shooter and makes crap players passable, probably headed to Toronto, not a great fit but would be better than nothing

Also, B-easy is a UFA. Pat should talk to him and convince him to take a much smaller amount of money for one year where he would be given the green light to score whenever he was on the floor, win a ring, and get his value up for a long term contract after showing his talents with us.

Character issues for Rashard Lewis? JJ Redick called him a true professional and the best teammate he's ever played with today. And JJ's been around...Orlando...for a few years.

And are you buying into Shaq's comments about PHX's medical staff working miracles the Heat couldn't? Because not even PHX's med staff bought that garbage.

Exactly. Nash lives off of shooters. I doubt he'd break the 10 assist average just because of our streaky role players

Rashard failed that drug test a few years ago, has been out of shape for the past couple of years and his whole stint with the Wizards was pretty awful. I'd say that counts as character issues

Phoenix's medical staff has been great, not even talking about what Shaq said. They've kept Grant Hill healthy the past few years, have kept Nash healthy and helped him through his back problems and have resurrected Michael Redd's career.
