What's the reasoning behind your stated preference?

Wolves want Pau.
Lakers want Lowry.
Rockets need a center.

It all fits.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

pekovic > asik

this deal frees up more cap space for free agents

Problem is from the Lakers perspective. The cap situation appears to be a real consideration with the new CBA, such that it is very unlikely that they would be interested in Scola or Wes. The trade that makes some sense from the Lakers perspective would be the following (using the parameters of the proposal here):

LAL trades Pau for Lowry, DWill2, and Webster/Miller (both waived)
HOU trades Lowry for Pek
MIN trades DWill2, Pek, Webster, Miller for Pau

That's acceptable. Now go tell Buss and Kupchack.

Lakers won't take anyone with a 3rd year salary (Scola)...

Return to Houston Rockets
