I still remember that game he scored 44 points on them.

Scola is still a good player, we just dont have room for him.

i still kind of wish we can hold on to him a little longer seeing as how he is Motiejunas' favorite player

I know they just drafted Thomas Robinson and they intend to re-sign Jason Thompson but how about Scola to Sacramento for Chuck Hayes straight up? Both guys are fan favorites so it would lessen the sting a little bit for the casual fans to see Luis go.

I have a feeling Camby is going to sign elsewhere so Hayes would be a good backup C/emergency starting C for Asik or whomever it is the Rockets sign.

Hayes has 3 years left on his deal at
$5,486,250
$5,722,500
$5,958,750

Scola has 3 years left on his deal at
$9,408,207
$10,224,622
$11,041,037

Claudio Villanueva (Luis Scola's agent): "There was talk about a trade to the Lakers, which would be welcome. At the same time, it's all unpredictable and there's no way you can handle this. I have a good relationship with the Rockets vice president, but I hear him say some things that I don' understand."

Ultimately, now there is another wait." There is another novelty than that. Luis says nothing. You have a contract for three years more and must comply. I don't think anyone knows the rules of the NBA as he. "If it's the Lakers, going to be happy." (Bing translation)

Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

With JJ, Crash, and Deron/Lopez/Green capholds, along w/ Brooks, I'm not sure they'd have enough capspace to absorb Scola, potentially no capspace at all.

Rockets strategy of drafting the best available has put Luis in a bad situation cause all of them are PFs. I think Houston imagine a better trade value for Scola, but in their situation, maybe he's traded for just cap space or draft picks.
He was a positive mentor to young kids, but he's a franchise player or 1st option. It will not be easy for Houston to find a PF that can score a jump shot and in the post as Scola.

That translation: "happy" means he will be glad, ok.. not as he wants to go to the Lakers as a dream and he's asking for that trade. He just understand the NBA system and he's a great pro.
