Why would anyone want to offer Roy Hibbert the max? That won't work out well.

Billy King is such a bad GM. And Dwight is so keen on playing for that guy?
wow.
He's so used to playing for a bad GM that he doesn't know any different.

So does anyone know who the second team is that offered a Max deal to Roy hibbert? Sounds kind of suspicious that they were not named.

If the 10,000th Howard trade rumor is true, please get rid of him soonest. There are plenty of teams who are willing to rent him so lets go that route since obviously the Nets have nothing to offer. Get as much young talent as you can, while moving Howard, Hedo and JRich in the process. That would free up enough money next season to offer max money to at least 2 players in a deep FA pool.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXIX: Draft/Free Agency
With Brooklyn re-signing Crash to that awful contract, it'll be interesting to see what they do with Lopez and Humphries. If they end up re-signing them (or one to a significant deal), they won't have enough capspace to absorb salaries for a Dwight deal.
Losing hope sounds about right.

You have to have capspace to offer Hibbert a max contract. That eliminates us.

Screw it. Send Dwight to the d league until his contract is up. I'm tired of him on this team.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXIX: Draft/Free Agency
I think some posters are owed an apology. I was called a troll, no-nothing about basketball, lakers fan etc. just because I claimed I THOUGHT Dwight wanted out, not that I wanted out. You cannot keep a star who does not want to play for your team, period.
I also claimed this whole time that no one knew Dwight's intentions/inner-thinking behind waiving his ETO.
Unless you were in denial this whole time, this should come as no surprise to you. Just work out a trade with HOU, LAL, LAC, or OKC and it's okay.
Another person owed an apology is Stan Van Gundy - best coach in Magic history ran out by a player whom never intended to stay in the first place.

Poor Indiana.
They almost have no choice but to match Hibbert at a max contract and still have to re-sign Hill. He'll likely command $6-8M per, so that puts them in a bind cap wise. Not as much flexibility as they thought they were going to have. Hibbert shouldn't be getting more than a 5 yr/$60M deal, IMO.

SVG wasn't fired becasue of Dwight. He was fired becasue he opened his mouth and caused a **** storm. Alex like things to be kept in house. He also wanted a more player friendly coach. Stan, Otis and Dwight all need to go. 2 down, 1 to go.

Yeah even Marc Gasol and Tyson Chandler are shaking their heads at that deal.

SVG isn't stupid. He knew what he was doing when he went public with the Dwight stuff.
