Id look to signing either Anthony Randolph or Hasheem Thabeet for cheap. Both young guys that havent reached their potential, but still have time to develope.

Okay, but was that what I said? Do you think he was the big FA acquisition or was it battier?

Focus on a Center or a 6th Man. The heat already have a pure shooter.

He was the “Big" improvement at center for the 2011-2012 year. :P

We did have a big improvement. It was bosh.

I don't know what you're expecting. We have 3 franchise players, good role players, we won a championship, and still you're worried about free agency coming up. Take it easy

Realistically, I don't think this can happen, and don't expect to get either Ray Allen or Steve Nash, but my wish list would be one of those two, plus Rashard Lewis and Greg Oden on 2-year min deals.

My dream is Nash and Kamen.

Is Lewis any good?

He seems to have done very little in the last couple of years.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Lewis has not looked good, but getting him on a min deal (which seems possible given how much he's struggled) would be the ultimate low-risk/high-reward. Can play either forward spot and when he's right he can shoot with the best of them. IF Miami can revive his career, he's the perfect fit next to Lebron. If not, no biggie.

Same deal with Oden: total project.

I don't think Curry was ever meant to be an impact this year. Not sure why people expected a guy who barely played in 3 years to all of a sudden be a contributer on a championship team...a Riley championship team!

His role this year was what Dexter was last year. Work, get better, practice, try to crack the rotation the following year. That's what all of these types of players usually are for the Heat.

There has been no news anywhere. If we don't sign Allen, we will sign Jet , if not, their are a ton of guys who will take 3 mil a year for a chance to win a title. Since when did Ray Allen define an off season?

I think Lewis would be a good fit here. That sling shot jumper is automatic when he isn't playing for a team full of scrubs.

If we lose out on Allen and Jet that would really suck.

C's are terrified of Allen to MIA. they're just going to ride this big 3 thing out until they turn to dust

and @HoosierCane03 i'm sure someone is going to offer JET more than we can

we're going to get grant hill and thats it
rather have perry jones =/

We very well may not get Allen now. That's no knock on Riley, but if the player wants to get paid, he wants to get paid. Heat ain't going to be able to win that kind of battle. Same reason we have no chance of getting Nash (and thus why the talk about him needs to stop already). JTerry could very well be out of our range. The guy has historically been about getting paid, and already has a championship. I'd be happy if we could get him though.

Like I said earlier, people are expecting way too much from this free agency. We've got so much money on payroll already, Arison and the CBA can really only allow us to do so much. I don't have a problem with returning the same team. Let's remember, Wade and Bosh will be healthier, and if they can stay healthy, that'll be the key--especially Wade. I think we have enough. Celt's looking dangerous though if they all stay healthy.
