This is seriously the best news for Miami all off-season.

Only by the uneducated.

Spo again made the adjustments after going behind to Indiana, Boston and Oklahoma and only Doc could counteract them and then get counteracted again.

I don't think Brooks is a bad coach by any means. I don't think you fluke your way to a Finals after fluking your way to the WCF the previous year.

That said...we're allowed to be cocky HEAT fans this Summer. We just endured two years of irrational hate and abuse. I say f-ck 'em if they can't take a joke. :P PEACE.

I know when you mean and disagree then aswell.

He didn't lose a game after losing to thibodeau and Doc that year.

If you want to say that Carlisle outcoached him I'm not going to scream but I put it down to some incredible shooting by Dirk especially and a total disappearance by Lebron as well as it being the first year the big 3 came together.

LeBatard : You know more than all of us about this sport, do you have a good explanation to the Finals last year, specifically to LeBron.

Pat Riley : "You let it go. If you try to examine that, really examine it and go down and look at every single movement on tape, second by second and judge it. You're making a big mistake. A big mistake from the standpoint that is a damn team game. But we also live in a universe where we put these stars out. They are icons, they are branded, above and beyond and transcended to the team. But really when you come down to it as a coach, it's a team game. Whatever happened against Dallas last year, it was because we as a team did not function the way we should have function at the moment of truth. If you really study that, 3 of those games were Nowitzki going 1vs1 against somebody to win the game. If it was a strategy standpoint or Spo didn't have something for these guys, Spo and his staff dug as deep they have ever dug and it has evolved to what has happened this year. It's not on LeBron, LeBron was he always was. I think the media convinced him it was his fault and that he led his team down. I think he was doing what our team was asked to do. What offense and sets he was suppose to run. But he took it himself and came out of the ashes this year.

The ironic thing is that Brooks got a MUCH better deal than Spo.

I said at the time of the extension if Spo was really wanted around the league the Heat would have offered a lot more money and/or his agent would have leveraged a much better deal. Instead we low balled him and he accepted.

Brooks in a similar situation (lost in the finals) got a MUCH better deal than Spo because multiple teams were interested in signing him if the Thunder didn't. The Thunder initial offer was for MORE than Spo eventually accepted and Brooks turned it down because it wasn't enough for an in demand coach coming off of a finals appearance.

Brooks isn't even anything special as a coach.

Dirk shot 41% in the finals.

Very far from "incredible"
