I think the knicks would need to add more unless the suns are doing Nash a favor. Fields is a FA and the suns could easily just offer him a contract and I wouldn't give fields more then what Dudley is making.

Knicks Trade
Fields (3yrs / $18 M w/ $7M PO for 4th year) First Year $5.4 Million

That`s too much for Fields. Knicks fans are talking about 4 mil per year.

And boy, I`d like to see Marshall - Shumpert backcourt in PHX.

Getting Fields at 4 mil per is overpaying for him, I wold like to help Steve get to where he wants but not overpay a guy coming back to get him there.

Shumpert is out until atleast January, and I saw when he blew that thing out!!! A move, all by himself, making a move and pop, it was disturbing. When he comes back, how athletic is he, or how explosive is he, cause he really relied on these qualities. He would have to be kind of scared of it happening again if he goes hard again so will he be hesitant to do so? Have to consider how his body comes back as well as his brain.

I wouldn't touch Iman with that injury now.

Also, doesn't sound like NYK are putting him out there anyway.

Really? He's on a low level rookie deal. What's to lose?

Paul Coro @paulcoro: The #Suns plan for using cap space is focused more on young free agents like Beasley & Gordon than Nash. http://t.co/DJonmNq4

Sad, but smart. Still will be devastated the day I see Nash in another jersey.

i'm confused, why the merge? Why not just lock one or the other? The thread is over 100 pages now. :-?

Merge because they were both redundant, and a thread being over 100 pages isn't necessarily a kiss of death. We generally like to keep it under 100 b/c if it gets too much bigger than that things slow down a bit, but it's fine right now.

I'm sure the mods will start an Offseason Part 2 whenever they see fit.

So we have about 23.3 mill in cap space right now without any of our holds. Amnesty Chilly and that's 29.8 mill in space. We're going after Gordon, Mayo, Beasley, and we're going to match Lopez.

If NOH doesn't match, Gordon will eat up $14.5 mill. So that leaves us with 15.3 mill left. I guess that's just about $5 mil each for the remaining three players.
