I think that's what it is right now. L.A. is trying to improve without Dwight right now and it's a struggle with how limited they are. Dwight's defensive impact is what L.A. needs to have a chance. As for the Nets, they're about to blow their cap room in a year. Dwight would have to find a third destination threaten the Lakers to walk there, and then the Lakers S and T with the Nets. I think he'll shut up once traded to L.A. and Brooklyn looks bleak.

Homerism aside, D12/KB24/Pau VS Mia would be a great Finals.

I also would like to keep BBD, Hedo is terrible and needs to go with Dwight.

Again I think a trade with LA means a 3rd team will be involved because the Lakers WANT to get rid of Gasol's contract. This is good for us because we will most likely get more assets besides just Bynum.

There is an entire thread dedicated to all things Dwight Howard. This really could have been posted there.

There is going to be ALOT of stuff coming up about Dwight in the media, we cannot make threads for every single piece.

ONLY way i would trade dwight for bynum is if it was a 3 team trade with the rockets that also netted us Lamb and one of the other 2 rookies (id prefer jones over white but that might not work since we already have like 18 PFs on the roster). And even then i would hope bynums sorry ass was only a 1 year rental or something cause i cant stand that piece of ****

Everyone wants to blame Dwight and say he's to blame, but IMO Otis Smith is to blame for this debacle.

I'd take Jameer in that fight. He's all heart. And scrappy.

Who knows if this is true, but it wouldn't be surprising.

Howard wants to land in Brooklyn and, after realizing that a trade to the Nets was unlikely, he contacted the National Basketball Players Association to explore his legal options against the Magic. He claims that members of the organization “blackmailed” him and threatened him into opting in to the final year of his contract, but sources close to the situation say there isn’t much evidence to support Howard’s claims. Howard personally contacted the union last week, asking if there was any way they could facilitate a trade to Brooklyn or nullify his opt-in to make him an unrestricted free agent this summer. It’s unlikely that the union will take legal action on behalf of Howard, according to sources close to the situation.

This is just the latest in a string of events that have caused many within the Magic organization to grow tired of Howard. Several of Howard’s teammates are hoping for his departure as well. Toward the end of last season, Howard came close to a physical altercation with teammate Jameer Nelson at the Magic’s practice facility. Howard was sidelined with a back injury at the time, but nearly came to blows with Nelson for unknown reasons, according to sources. The two players had to be separated.

Nobody in the Magic organization wants to go through another drama-filled year, which is why all signs point to Howard being traded sooner rather than later.

We can't afford to keep Howard for another season, his bad attitude would do nothing but stunt the growth of Andrew Nicholson and our young players.

I have a feeling the blackmail bullcrap was the final straw. I would trade any player, no matter how good they are, if they tried to pull that crap. Just goes to show how stupid this kid really is. He is making Lebron look like an angel and what is ironic about that is the fact Howard bashed Lebron for the way he handled his FA.

An ending that is turning out to be ugly appears that it may get uglier

I recall him defending LeBron actually, something along the lines of "that man gave them 7 years of his career he deserves better than them burning his jersey"

Yes. To be completely honest I wasn't expecting it to get uglier, but here we are. Only if he knew how bad his image is likely to be damaged.

He also said he wouldn't turn his FA in a circus nor would he go on TV and tell people where he was going. He could never do that, according to Howard. Boy, he sure disappointed himself.
