That would be a disaster. More pressure on LeBron, Wade, and Bosh to do everything and once again carry not just the playoff load, but the regular season load as well. That team still doesn't have a sure 4th option, which we desperately need.

Ray or Jet is a must, IMO.

I wish you all would let that LeBron/Bosh frontcourt dream go. As I've said before it looks real cute in the playoffs but there's no reason we should have LeBron banging with the likes of David West, LMA, etc. for a full 82 game season, it's going to do nothing but wear him down.

I said worst case scenario not "Omg guys lets do this!".

I'm also not a fan of the small frontcourt but you can be sure that Spo will throw it out a ton since it seemed to work for him in the finals. I've seen enough of Spo's "rotations" to know that he will make LbJ work like a mule.

Also idk if Ray or Jet is a must, but we desperately need a pure scorer off the bench. Someone who can spell LbJ and Wade and who can take over some of the scoring load. It's either that or gamble on the chance that one of our role players will step up every night (I don't want to take that chance). Terry can be that guy and Ray can also though his age and health make me a bit weary.

Also it's Hoopsworld so idk how accurate it is but here's a list of available Free Agents: http://www.hoopsworld.com/2012-nba-free-agents

Maybe some can be picked up after a Terry/Allen type to play a Juwan Howard role?

I think it's strange that we haven't been recognized as a team interested or talking to Terry... makes me wonder what the backup plan is. or if we're really just all in on Ray.

& i wouldnt trust that schultz guy, no reason for him to know this early way before anyone else.

After Ray, who are guys that are available who can legitimately space the floor and hit shots?

Boston coach Doc Rivers quoted in Boston today as saying about Ray Allen it would be "a stretch for me to see him go somewhere else.'' On Allen, Rivers also was quoted as saying, "We really want him back and I really think at the end of the day that he will be back because this is such a good fit for him. We need him back and we're trying to get him back... Yes, there are a couple of teams way under the cap who might be able to offer more money. But... we can offer him more (than Miami/Memphis)'

yikes, Doc has spoken

out of anything we may have heard regarding Allen, that's easily the most compelling by far. That's just going to be tough to beat out.

What the heck is he supposed to say? "Oh we don't think he'll be back, he's moving on". Come on now.

^ lol r u serious? he's not just talking about whether they want him back or not... he's saying he's their priority and that they're willing to offer more than anyone else. Not to mention it's Doc & his words always carry weight.

I'm not saying that this means he's going one way or the other.. but now you have Doc Rivers basically going public and pleading and saying they won't give him up easily, that's not JUST politics.. they really want/expect him back.

Yea I'm envisioning this ending up like the whole "lets get Odom and iverson" scenario we thought up a few years ago or the Mo Williams scenario. Probably not getting Ray Ray. I still trust Riles to pull something off though

the weird thing is now that I read that full yahoo Doc Rivers interview article... Doc is saying that they envision Terry signing on with Allen as well... + Bradley as a starter? then they have to sign Brandon Bass and possibly Jeff Green. That's just being cocky. Which one of Bradley, Terry, Ray ends up being cool with 8-10 minutes a game?

Also still can't believe the money the C's saving on Rondo's contract... that's the main reason this annoying team hasn't already collapsed on itself. Along with Lowry's it's the biggest bargain contract in the league for sure.

We can only hope Boston's pursuit of Mayo and the JET will offend Ray ray even more than being benched by bradley
